"Țărăneasca de la Știrbăț" perfomed by Leonard Zamă at long pipe ("tilincă"). Romanian traditional folk song from Moldova, Bucovina area, Udești.
**********
"Țărăneasca" is danced in small circles and it is found in Moldova area. Its dancing style is pretty similar with the southern Transylvanian "Jiana" (sometimes called "Jieneasca" or "Râureanca"). The dancers are linked by back basket hold and the circle revolves rapidly and are generally bi-directional.
********
"Tilinca" is a 50 - 80 cm long wooden/metal tube without finger holes, open at both ends. It is held at a slant to the player's mouth and produces sounds by opening/closing the end of the tube with the index finger. It used to be widely spread around north half of Moldova and Transylvania.
