Hi. I'm not a welder but been watching your videos. I could see at 6:12 the previous pass was still glowing red then you started a new one without removing the slag. I've seen other welding youtube channels and they always remove the slag after a pass. What's the reason you didn't remove it?

It's a MIG weld, there isn't any slag produced/used/involved.

@@jamesward5721Depends on what kind of wire you’re using. Yes there could be slag with a mig weld. Inner shield wire with 75/25 (stargon) carbon dioxide produces slag. Just your basic flux core wire produces slag.

@@dikhurtz2406 flux core isn't mig, just saying like.. mig is metal inert gas... flux core not use gas.. so flux core is just flux core. :-)
