Sir, 1. what is the need of President where Prime Minister take all decision? 2. Can president support a particular political party? 3. Isn't it necessary for President to be neutral for all political party?

1. The president acts as guarantor of parliamentary sanctity. When the parliament is hung, and loses confidence on the cabinet or the PM, then the president flexes his authority. He/she is an integral part of the Westminster System. 2. The president does not cease to be a citizen and as a citizen they can support any party in their personal capacity. He/she is nominated by a political party. 3. As president he/she is expected to show no bias for any political party, even his/her own.
