「金剛經」結尾這樣寫道：「一切有為法，如夢幻泡影。如露亦如電，應作如是觀」。
協奏曲《如是》在挖掘、展示古箏傳統魅力的同時，探求傳統文化在心靈中的沉澱，展現高潔純樸的心靈世界。《如是》突出一個「情」字，作曲家使結構與情感完美地契合而又充滿戲劇性的衝擊力，堅守了「傳統化」的同時，將「現代化」融入其中。
作品應古箏演奏家蘇暢之邀，創作於2012年3月，樂曲的主題來自於作者的同名《柳如是》。

The ending lines of "The Diamond Sutra" go by, "all phenomena are like a dream, an illusion, a bubble and a shadow, like dew and lightning. Thus should you meditate upon them."
The Guzheng concerto, "As Thus" or "Ru Shi", explores and showcases the traditional charm of Guzheng, and pursues the traditional culture laying deep down in the heart, embodying a pure and simple state of mind. The composer puts emphasis on depicting the "affection" that is perfectly fused with the musical form yet full of dramatic tension. "As Thus" not only inherits the traditional Chinese aesthetics, but simultaneously incorporates the modern musical language.
The piece was commissioned and performed by famed Chinese Guzheng player, Su Chang. The melodic theme is originated from the film music, "Liu Rushi" (柳如是), that the composer was committed by the samely named film in 2012.
