I suppose a pilot of a R9-W must have 4 hands: Two hands pilot the ship, the other hand controls the Force and the fourth hand controls the direction of the Wave Cannon!!

Actually canon states that the minds of pilots are directly connected to the ship. This WC channels their brainwaves into the nanomachines controlling the WC blast.

@@ashgonza92 The museum from R-Type Final 1 (I didn't play Final 2 yet) says the R9-W series demands a lot mentally from its pilots because controlling the direction of its Wave Cannon, according to the description of the museum, involves high multi-tasking skills and, as a result, it is very taxing on the pilots, that's why I said a pilot of the R9-W must have 4 hands. Interestingly enough, the Wave Cannon of the R-9WF is fuelled by the brain waves + the life energy of its pilots because it's said the Wave Cannon of this ship are the nightmares that the pilots are experiencing and, as if it wasn't enough, the name of this ship is "Sweet Memories". Speaking of connecting the mind of a pilot directly to the systems of a R-Fighter, there's a Bydo jelly-like tissue named "J-zyme" that is used to thought control of machinery, such as mechanical weapons by the Bydo empire (the Bydo has other ways to take over machine too). The humans used this jelly-like Bydo tissue to create the ship B-C3 Sexy Dynamite that allows its pilots to manipulate the ship functions at will and this jelly-like Bydo tissue is also used to power its Wave Cannon. The ship B-C32 Sexy Dynamite II uses the same jelly-like Bydo tissue to the extreme: Its pilots are totally immersed in the jelly-like Bydo tissue in order to use it as much as possible. Now I wonder, which one is better? Piloting a R-Fighter that demands a lot from the mind of its pilots and even uses the pilots' worst nightmare to fuel its Wave Cannon (such as the R-9W series), piloting a R-Fighter whose interface connects its systems to the pilots' nervous system (such as the R13 series) or piloting a R-Fighter that allows its pilots to manipulate its controls and weapons at will thanks to a jelly-like Bydo tissue, but its pilots are totally immersed in this jelly-like Bydo tissue?

@@N7Dovahkiir I love R-Type lore. The original R-90 was piloted by a 14 year old cyborg girl with the mind of a 22 year old woman directly connected to the ship through the nervous system.

@@ashgonza92 I also love the R-Type lore, it is very interesting. I didn't know about the story of the original R-90, thanks for sharing :)
