How did the R142 get on the Culver line ?
@BrooklynRailfanner6 ай бұрын
@@cedrips a very long route. Presumably came from concourse yard on the D line where it went south to west 4th st where it switched to the M line where it relayed to go to Chambers St on the J/Z Line before going to The abandoned Bowery and canal st stations. After sitting at these stations for a day or two it went north via the Jamaica Line where it would come back down to west 4th st and relay at a track to go south and via the west end line where the Train would enter Coney Island yard and take Coney Island yards loop to proceed onto the culver line. A very hard process

@@BrooklynRailfannerthe R142 doesn’t fit on that type of tracks, but then again it is a movie train so it could be a different type of wheel used
@jaydottt_transitfanner6 ай бұрын
@@bricktvitiesyoure wrong. the track gauge is universal in the whole subway, so A division trains can run on B division lines with no, need for modification. the only reason why B division trains cant run on A division lines is because theyre too wide to fit IRT tunnel dimensions
