I can't wait to see more of these trains enter service including the possible replacement for the R68 & R68A on the (A), (B), (C), (D), (N), (Q), & (W) once the MTA exercise future option orders.

The R211s will not go to the (N), (Q), or (W) lines. The current plan is to make the IND 100% NTT, the R211s will go to the (A), (C), (E), (F), (G), (R), and (S) lines. This will displace R160s for the (B), (D), and (Q) lines. In turn, this will displace R68s/As to the (N) and (W) (Those being restricted to those two lines after the R211 order is finished and in turn retiring the R46s on those lines) and in a few years the R68s/As will be replaced by another order of cars that are identical to the R211s, but do not use the same designation.

@@imightbehereidktho yes but they want to get the new trains on the heavy lines or lines with high ridership because they have wider doors, and with that happening Jamaica yard won’t really need as many 160s so those are gonna go to concourse as well as 6th Av getting CBTC because only newer trains are compatible with CBTC

The R211's are not going on the E, F, or Shuttle lines. They will most likely go to the A, C, D, G, N/W and R. The R211 Base Order will run on the A and C, while Option 1 will be for the Delta. The G and R will likely get R211 Option 2 sets, displacing the R160 Siemens sets on those lines to Concourse for the Bravo and Delta. With the Delta using both R160 Siemens Sets and R211 Option 1 sets, the R68's on that line will be displaced to the B and Q lines. The reason why I say Option 2 should be considered for the G and R is because we don't really need any 8-car R211 sets. The Option 1 sets should be R211A's while Option 2 should be R211T's. So therefore, the R211's will not be going to the J/Z, L, or M lines either as they're running perfectly well with the current rolling stock they have. The B and Q will share R68/A's and R160 Siemens units, while the N/W will receive a handful of displaced R68A's from the B and Q as well as R211's. The reason why the R211 Option 1 sets will have to run on the N/W, as I'm told, is because of train crews having to go through a hassle changing every rollsign on every single R68/A car from an N to a W at Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard. The Rockaway Park Shuttle will use R179's only, and no other rolling stock. There really is no need to have it run with R211's whatsoever. In conclusion: R68's: B, Q, and Franklin Avenue Shuttle R68A's: B, N/W, and Q. R143's: J/Z (Rush hours only) and L. R160A-1's: J/Z, L, and M. R160A-2's: E, F, G, and R. R160B Alstom Units: G and R. R160B Siemens Units: B, D, E, F, and Q. R179's: A, C, J/Z, and Rockaway Park Shuttle. R211's (Base Order): A and C. R211-1's: D and N/W. R211-2's: G and R.

After seeing testing of the R211s six conservative times then the Melanite brother was via Thy Holy Spirit IAM NTR Yahawah finally got his opportunity to actually the example test train which was a very comfortable rewarding smooth ride which was from 34th Street to Nostrand Avenue so he impress very much by the aerodynamic style which is a futuristic copy of the R32s, R38s, R42s etc in terms of the features plus he could stand in inside not squashed so much admiration appreciation for the presentation about them take care alright. 😊😊😊😊

The rolling stock is testing other B Divisions because when it was tested it also took 30 days, the rolling stock should be on the CE lines after testing passenger service.

I don't k ow if you are joking but the MTA would be better off engineering in another seat of two into the carriage vs extending door width to 58" from 50", allowing for supposed increased ingress and egress times in the station. Passenger amenity during the ride (i.e. a place to sit), i would put more emphasis.

R211s aren't going to the N Q and W because Broadway CBTC and Astoria CBTC isn't coming soon. R211 are going to lines with high ridership and CBTC which are QBL and 8th Avenue Lines. R211s what rumors said are going to the (A) (C) (E) (F) (R) and (SR) Trains. My Predictions for Fleet Model when it's 2025: A: R211 and R179 B: R160 C: R211 and R179 D: R160 E: R160 and R211 F: R160 and R211 G: R160 J: R160 and R179 L: R143 and few R160 M: R160 N: R68, R68A, and some R160 Q: R68, R68A, and some R160 R: R160 and R211 W: R68, R68A, and some R160 Z: R160

The exteriors still look like something from the USSR and the lack of window area is really stupid. The interiors are grim and the seating is terrible and only good for sleeping and manspreading. The MTA seems to enjoy expressing its contempt for the customers.

These new R211 is in service only on the A line put them on the E LINE- F LINE - R LINE. You have lots of R179 trains right now. E.R.R.

The E already uses 100% CBTC equipped R160’s. So R211’s are definitely not going on that line.

The R211s are going to the (A) (C) (E) (F) (R) and (SR) Trains. R211s have more capacity than R160. R211s are possible to go to Jamaica Yard so the MTA can put R211s there whatever they want to, and that is most rumors saying that.

@@euromatrixkungthat’s incorrect R211’s hold less capacity than R160’s nobody can sit or stand in the corners and the wide doors make less seats plus passengers are NOT gonna stand in a doorway where other passengers are constantly walking in an out which is why R211’s hold much less calf than R160’s

I think it's because it's a stainless steel build and the method NYC uses to attach the windows to the train as well. They look like they open which is old fashioned.

​@@PeteS_1994 it got very small windows, it just feels weird, like you're trapped into it and can't even see what's happening outside. And handrails give me some prison vibes. R32's look more modren in terms of interior, they just need some info LCD's that's a minor upgrade

@@ae-pr5ot I think this is a bit silly though. Open gangways have been in use on many metro systems and have a proven track record by now. Building cars without them when you have the option is stupid.

And now look, the R211’s have problems, even if the R211’s have a ton of their original features stripped without a trace. A bunch of details from these cars, if you look closely, come from the R160’s too. Originality and perfection at its finest am I right?

The A and C are confirmed by the MTA to get R211. R179s are probably getting kept at Pitkin Yard and they might retrofit with CBTC. R211s are going to lines that have CBTC which are the 8th avenue line and Queens Boulevard Lines also high ridership. I would predict that the R211s will go to the (A) (C) (F) (R) and Rockaway Park Shuttle. The E is a possible to have R211 because of high ridership. They can put R211s on the E instead of the R or so whatever. When the R211s are on that lines E/F/R. The r160s would be displaced and go to the Coney Island Yard and probably the Concourse Yard for the B and D service. R160s can go to some for the N and Q trains. Also the r68s from concourse yard will be displaced from there and placed to Coney Island Yard for the N, Q, and W trains. B and W lines are a part time route. The N/Q/W can get R160s on weekdays. I don't feel that the B and D is getting R211 because the MTA hasn't announced the CBTC on the 6th Avenue Line. 6th Avenue Line would be activated likely in 2030s are so. N/Q/W isn't getting R211 unless they say that Astoria CBTC is getting implemented. Astoria CBTC would likely come in 2030s as well. The (J) (L) (M) (Z) aren't getting R211.

@@leecornwell5632 So far one of them are in service, so that means they have 2 in testing. The one that’s currently running is the R211A, the R211S and the R211T are the ones getting tested.

D transit I really like the new train because it has wider doors and flip seats as well as security cameras but I was told from tss that the a line won't get the gangway train car's only because of the fact that they may have a shortage of cars on the line the Rockaway park shuttle will be receiving the gangway cars.

Dwell time in a station is suboptimal when compared to that "extra passenger seat" that is needed in the carriage. What have you found the MTA's answer to be to this dichotomy and conundrum? Ingress / egress speed vs passenger travel amenity across a journey (i.e. an extra place to sit down)?

Forgive but the styling is 40 years out of date ok up to date equipment on board but it’s not as stylish as the new trains we have in U.K. and Europe it should of looked more advanced considering it’s built by a firm from Japan ,sorry NY 😮
