Join me as I go over my little focus setting week on the Canon R3. I shoot in CASE 4 but my latest setting change has made a good improvement.

Just wanted to say thanks for your latest youtube video on fixing the AF on your R3. I've been cursing at mine for almost two years now, but your post fixed my issues. I am a K9 sports photographer specializing in lure coursing. The most difficult event I shoot is called fastcat where dogs chase a lure over a 100 yard course. I lie at the end of the run and shoot them as they approach the finish line. When a dog is approaching at 25-30 mph the AF struggles to keep up. Since changing my settings to those you recommended I've not missed a shot. A huge THANKS from me to you.

Hi Mark! think you can do a refresher on best settings for footie with canon R3 5 6 7 8 .... for these have the same AF tech as I understand ... just a thought 😅 if you could would be absolutely wonderful! we would all benefit from your hands on experience!

Thanks for that Mark, great vlog as always. I agree with you about the low shooting angle, it really makes a noticeable difference..that shot of the Ipswich huddle against the sea of yellow was great!.Glad you have got the focusing issues sorted, it must give you more confidence knowing that it's going to lock on instantly. The Greece trip sounds amazing, some images and sounds from that would be spot on..

Another great video Mark. As a Norwich fan i really enjoyed this one! I couldn't get a ticket for the derby but watched the game on Sky and the atmosphere sounded great. I am still shooting local sport down here in Dorset and find your videos really informative. I'd love to shoot league football at some point.

Hello Mark - I've been watching your videos for a while. I'm a Nikon shooter who shoots rugby union. I'm the club tog for Northampton Saints. I've found it really interesting understanding what you are looking for at the game - it's given me a few ideas for my sport. I'm off to shoot the Saints vs the Vodacom Bulls in the Investec Champions Cup qtr finals this weekend

Have you tried the eye focus mode yet?? When I first turned mine on I couldn’t get it off fast enough but feel I need to set it up properly and try it for a game?

Can I ask you , I see that you vary your exposure compensation usually between -3 and +3, I understand why but how often do you switch is it for every shot d9 you think about switching or do you chimp then change ?
