R35 Gtr brake problem fixed, Also wheel locknut removal by force. part2

No brakes on the gtr when it arrived from copart. I found the problem. I also managed to get the locknut off the wheel, the hard way. Gtr goes and stops 😌

Awesome car and project mate. The rear bumper dent should come out if you warm it up with a heat gun and push it out. Obviously will still need paint work but it looks like it can be saved. Hope you can find a front light and bumper for a fair price. Subscribed.😀

that is crazy I go back in time, and I remember my parents used to own AE86, hatch. dark metallic blue. good luck with the GTR , subbed because of that, love to see people putting r35 back on its feet.

Fyi, when I’ve got cars without locking keys, there are sellers on eBay that can match it up from a picture and have you a replacement out within 2 days for around £25.

The pedestrian bonnet release system has its own ECU which will show a fault on the dash if the ignition is turned on with the front bumper removed. If your poppers are missing it might have a delete kit as some people buy them so they aren't falsely triggered which has happened to people on rare occasions. If you buy new ones I think you just have to reset the ecu for the pedestrian system. Not sure if they need coding or not.

Also worth noting they have sensors in the bumper so until that's put back together properly you won't be able to clear it.

Thanks for your help. Yea the poppers are just removed. The delete plugs aren't fitted. I was just told this morning I can put on a delete kit with European hinges?

@@markfitzy.86 sounds like that could work and just reset the ecu if it's cheaper.
