R35 GTR Flame thrower kit

I have the intake manifold off and the engine harness exposed what is the colour of the wire that you cut and spliced into

It’s white but you will have to follow it up far enough to where it controls all 6 coils not just 1

Hey so when your driving how do u know the fire is not just in the back of exhaust burning?

Cos it only flames when I push the button

The car will not shoot flames unless the button is pushed. After installing the kit, when you push the button, ignition is cut and the spark plugs installed in the exhaust begin to spark. Having no spark in the engine, unburnt fuel is dumped into the exhaust where it is ignited by said spark plugs, giving you flames. The car will continue to perform as usual when you're not touching that button.

Do you mean specific for gtr or just what wire to tap into for generic flame kit install on any car? You just have to follow the coils wiring back to where they all get their power from so you either need wiring diagram or just cut back the sheathing and find where all the power wires join up and cut into it there

Ah yep ok so I removed the top half of the intake manifold and then followed the wires back I think it was white with silver dots and you will find if you uncover the main harness where all the individual coil power wires trace back to 1 spot It’s really hard to explain on text without pictures and unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures or videos Basically if you open up all the main harness behind the intake manifold etc the wire with the capacitor loop in it is also the same colour as the coil power I believe but the capacitor loop isn’t the exact wire you want to cut it’s just the same colour I believe

I didnt get any codes yet but youll need to increase the neutral rev limiter if its not already increased in your tune otherwise the flames arent very big if you leave the stock limiter

How do you get flames out of all 4 exhaust tips? Where are you putting the spark plug exactly? I ask because I’ve seen people shoot flames only out of 2 tips when they have 4 and I don’t want that

The spark plug is Before the pipes split Some exhausts split really far back like the rh9 system and it’s 4 pipes from basically the end of the y pipe so you would need 2x 2 kits basically

What wire did you splice into for the ignition coil pack?

The main power wire that powers all 6 coils Have to follow one of the coil power wires far enough back to where it powers all of them
