Thank you so much sir for your effort, I applied your method on my pathfinder 2005 with 2004 3.5 converted Engine. I got more good fuel economy. In same journey which I normally make a used of 25liters as became 10liters now, Thank you sir

Depends on where you live bru, but last i looked for accessories like that i came right at Excalibur in Cape town and also at Safari centre.

Please help me out here...I’ve had the car for a week and I was expecting the consumption to be high but is it normal for the 4.0 navara to take 45 litres of petrol when my tank is 3/4 full or is something wrong with the car?

Hey Monde, no that is not normal. One of 2 things is happening. 1 your feul sender unit in the tank is faulty or the previous owner has put in an extended range fuel tank. Meaning there might be another tank fitted to your van. Just check under the back of the car, if you do not have a spare wheel where it usually sits and there is a tank, then you are sorted.

Dankie vir die info. Ek het ook nou al redelik gesoek hoe om myne ligter te maak en die beste oplossings wat ek ek gekry het was chip/mapping vir fuel economy en dan iets wat ook baie goeie resultate gekry het was om electric fans op te sit wat dan ook so 5 tot 7Kw by gee.

Bly ek kon help meneer. Dankie vir jou bydrae met jou raad. Elke bietjie help. Ekt n video gesien van die fans. Dis baie intresant. Ek is net bang om te chip aan die enjin. Dit is mos die 350z se enjin wat hulle gestroke het en gedetune het. As jy hom gaan map gaan jy met n baie delikate balans van krag en betroubaarheid mors. Hulle se jy kan nie albei he nie. As jy krag op stoot bring jy betroubaarheid af. En as jy die vertes in is, is betroubaarheid jou beste pel. En dit is grootliks hoekom ek nie chip nie, ek pak maar net meer brandstof in. Hulle kan jou se wat hulle wil oor n chip, feit bly, dis moeilikheid soek. Veral op n groot enjin soos die. As jy slegs op die pad gaan wees en so nou en dan n roete aan vat dan is n chip of n map okay. Maar as jy na plekke gaan waar die naaste motorhawe 2 tot 3 ure se ry weg is, dan sal ek nie met die mechanika mors nie. Ek gaan bietjie daai fan storie navors en kyk waaroor dit gaan. Why drive at 100kmph with a 4.0 v6? I honestly don't understand these okes who deliberately buy a 4.0 v6 then moan about fuel consumption it should not even be a discussion? Great video man. My Nav I get average 5pmpl then I'm driving it like your supposed to. That vvti loves revving. I have a mate with a 6 cruiser 4.5kpl and another mate with a jeep 5l v8 he gets 3kmp I get 5kmph and this is dicing each other and acting like lyties on the soft sand dunes. So Nav better than those two and evenly matched power wise also. Love my nav and don't even worry about fuel next mod is a 100ltr aux tank and maybe a supercharger if I can get one😂

Hey Wayne, you are right, these vans are meant to be DRIVEN. The flip side of the coin is that for some they are more affordable than their diesel counterparts in purchase value, for them getting the best you can out of its consumption is worth a lot. Especially in this economic climate. I made the video with those folks in mind, helping them get the best out of their van. But even if you are a hypermiler as they say, I bet every last person on the planet who owns a 4.0v6 will and inevitably has,... squeezed that trigger,... I mean pedal, every now and then. Hahaha. @4x4ViewFinder Hay man. Yes I totally understand your point of value versus Diesel. Great point actually. These vans are great value for the money. If you have to calculate the difference in price and equate that to buying petrol and potentially not having a vehicle payment it is a no brainer. I put a 2 inch lift with ats this thing is a beast for 90% of offroad situations. We really push our vehicles here have access to huge sand dunes areas. I really look forward to more videos man I am subscribing now😁👌

Hi Hugo, thanx for your comment. And yes, there is a massive diffrence in fuel economy. If it is a concern rather get the Diesel. Its way more economical and you wont want for power.

No problem friend. Pathfinder city driving gives you around 3-6Km/L. Depending on conditions and speed of traffic. Highway at around 120 Km/h gives you up to 8.2Km/L. Also depending on what the road conditions are and how heavily your car is loaded. On gravel roads at between 60km/h and 80km/h you get between 5km/L and 6km/L. Ive been told that it is possible to get above 9Km/L if a snorkel is fitted and the catalytic converters are removed in the downpipe as well. Overall if you live in the city and wil be driving in congested roads most of the time your economy can get as high as it does doing a 4x4 obstacle at 1km/L to 3km/L. I always say, you drive this vehicle because you enjoy the power and sound. If you are concious about feul economy stay far away from the 4L V6. The Diesel wil be a far better option. @4x4ViewFinder I'm own 05 VQ40DE daily driver. Getting similar depending on your driving experience. City-.12.00mpg sometimes 9.8mpg Log drive depending on weather conditions for sure I'm getting 16.9 go's till 18.6 mpg
