Near Jawbone Station/Dove Springs. My 2012 Nissan Pathfinder R51 4.0 V6 towing my 2020 Black Series Patron through the desert.
My wife challenged me... we were hungry, had plenty of food but wanted an awesome please to pull over for lunch. She pointed at a large rock feature in the middle of nowhere. We managed a few really technical trails and made the destination. The trailer and PF did great together.

Instant subscribe. KZbin algorithm finally paid off! I'm in AU - Bought an R51 last week, and had a Patron for 2 years. Real pumped for some Bang4Buck mods.

Do the SMOD radiator mod if it's before year 2011.

@@plorks445 Mine is a 2012. The SMOD issue really disappeared in 2008 but had some remote cases. 2010-12 were non-existent.

Nice made light work of that may I ask what diffs you have mine seems to skid a bit more before the traction control kicks in
@BorellaFamilyAdventures
@BorellaFamilyAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It is only this sensitive in 4LO. In 4HI or 4wd Auto it allows much more slip. The diffs are factory R180A in the front and the rear is the factory R200 with the 3.13 axle ratio. No mechanical traction devices yet.

Would you recommend this to buy I have come across a 2017 4x4 premium trim with 110k miles for 15k. On the fence

The 2017 should be an R52, not the R51 like mine. I would NOT recommend that year due to the transmission.

@@BorellaFamilyAdventures awesome, did it sag in the rear? And is there a fix for the sagging other than air bags?
@BorellaFamilyAdventures
@BorellaFamilyAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
@@pizzasaurolophus The rear end has some rake to it so no, its not sagging. Ironman has 2 sets of springs (so do others) with higher weight ratings that you can get. I like the ride with the "Performance" springs on it. The Air Bags have been in for nearly a year and I have no issues with them, they work great with the trailer or heavy loads.

How do you like it?
@BorellaFamilyAdventures
@BorellaFamilyAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
The Pathfinder? It has surprised me so far. My 2 previous SUV's were a 2006 LR3 and a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. The LR3 is still my favorite but this is growing on me. The Trailhawk was cool and had some advantages but the Unibody failed within the first year and was purchased back by CJD. As a global platform, the Pathfinder is pretty easy to mod but may require importing items from AU. The Black Series Camper is legit! The thing is pretty bulletproof so far. There are some cheap things like basic shocks accompanying the springs but that's an easy upgrade later. The kitchen is my favorite part and the living space is great with poor weather.
