A glass chin is only given to fighters that have consistently or have previously been KO'd, TKO'd, struggling to survive a round with lateral movement or constant clinching. The only reason Rigo got clicked was because he was moving fancy in the direction of his fall. Still, he always gets up within seconds, which many fighters, even elite, cannot do. Rigo fell down the second time in the same round because as they released from the clinch Amagasa pushed his weight downward. The ref was in back of them so he could only make out a percentage. Donaire hits significantly harder than this Amagasa guy, and Rigo, again, still got up within seconds. No shaky legs or wobbly feet. That's what glass chins are. In this particular fight it was awkward position to get hit.

Rigondeaux is so relaxed, so comfortable. The movement , the balance. The knock down was a completely a fluke punch. He was goofing around when the punch took place. Rigo at points in the 7th was just playing around, practicing his movement, he wanted the fight to go the distance. He came back in the 8th and just stood right in front of him just banging away. the defensive work at 10:18 is great, pernell whitaker used to do this well.

Hisashi Amagasa had the reach advantage. He should have pressed Rigo, but he needed to keep the perfect distance for him to hit Rigo without letting Rigo hit him back. But instead, he seemed to want to try and overpower Rigo and fight on the inside where he neutralized his own advantage. He underestimated Rigo.

KuttyJoe you seem have zero knowledge of boxing. RIGO underestimated that unknown Asian. If you have longer arm,it doesn’t mean you can box the opponent. He knows he’s much slower and Rigo is way more skilled. That’s why he was sneaking and looking for the chance to land a good single shot. That’s why he fought uglier. It’s the only way to win against someone much better and faster. And he succeeded dropping Rigo twice. The second down was NOT a push. Everyone used to think he was the one of the best and he knows he’s an unknown guy and just a lucky guy who got an offer two weeks before when rigo’s opponent was injured. How he underestimated him? He knows his potential and limit well and chose the best plan for the fight.
