Good to hear that different pad's have improved the braking and eliminated the brake wobble? Quite surprised you use 2nd gear for the most part on the last two corners and also the chicane. Granted I have a different car with different gearing, but I found that second gear doesn't provide any benefit for those turns.

Yeah to be fair I could probably get away with staying in 3rd there, but I think I'm just used to going into 2nd so that I've got the option to powerslide it pretty easily :)

Thats the one thing I hate about UK trackdays, you spend the majority of your cars lifetime on the street trying to not go too crazy as you know logically that the only place suitable for that kind of driving is on the track. You go to a trackday and get black flagged for being *old man voice* "too noisey".

It isn't allowed to put a camera mounted in the area of the pedals... But you are allowed to have you (car)keys laying around in your armrest-area? Pretty weird to me. When you have an accident (I hope you will not have one of course!) it could be a lethal projectile in my opinion. Besides that: Great video! Instead of buying a new lighter car, wouldn't it be possible to make the R8 lighter? Or is that not a possibility?

You are used to powerful cars, considering the depreciation on the 650s, isn't that an option over the 570?

Chris - with the new body kit on the 86, does the rear also get wider? It looks like it's wider at the front but not the rear? Cheers

debating doing the rear arches as well, but yeah normally people would do the front and rear at the same time (and front bumper and some other bits too)

Just keep the R8 and spend money on tires wheels and suspension. the 570 will be a money grave after a few 1000 miles, that is maybe the only thing I would worry about with mclarens.

ThatGuyNamedScott. C Search for an orange MP4 on thesmokingtire, if i remember correctly the owner spend way over $20k on repairs with less then 50k km on it. A guy with a 650S that i met on a few trackdays had to spend 10k € on it after only 20k km...
