If you used a thinner steel bar clamped in your metal folder you could get the other bends without using the vice

Brilliant skill involved in making that. Definitely try a silver one on the 86! Delorean vibes!

I have another design I'd like to try out on the 86 so bare aluminium maybe the route i take 😉👍

Aluminum Alloy 3003 has manganese and is best for bending without cracking. Aluminum Alloy 5052 has magnesium and is more structurally solid but still good for bending .Aluminum Alloy 6061 has magnesium and silica and is most structurally solid but not as good for bending without heating. just a simple google search since buying some from my local hardware or big box home store and being frustrated after things broke and wasted time and money in the past.

Unfortunately I don't have the time that I used to, so I don't build them atm. I have been asked before but I had to put it on hold. If I get back into producing them I'll be in contact 👍

Hi, I'm unaware of a company which produce a louvre for a gs. I don't tend to produce louvres for cars unless i have a template available such as the car. Your rear screen is bonded in so i would think an aluminium louvre wouldn't bond well to the glass due to the weight? A plastic/fibreglass would work better for you.

@@ukautocollective yes I understand but I'm sure I would be able to get it fitted. I'll even get it of a window close to my shape what sell louvers but I don't no anything about back windiws
@ukautocollective2 жыл бұрын
@@willtell1862 I've not made a louvre for a bonded window and wouldn't know how tbh. I've seen that they use double sided tape to secure the plastic type.

How does it attach to the car top / bottom or slides
@ukautocollective2 жыл бұрын
Just like the ae86 louvres, it uses a 1mm aluminium plate which secures under the seal. No adhesive is required.

@@ukautocollective so 2mm for the Louvre itself and 1mm for the tabs? Does the top not use double sided tape ?
