A great lady and artist of dhrupad. I had good fortune to hear her briefly in 1984 at a Dhrupad Mela. A most inspiring and moving experience. I am American player of pakhawaj for 50 years now. Please keep her memories alive. She truly embodied the spirit of dhrupad and a true devotional person evident to all who heard her.

I'm from near by place she lived..truth is nobody cared here in her last days, MP. Govt gave her pension, you would be surprised to hear the amount (between ₹2000 -₹4000) to this great soul..this is how we care our old heritage.. My Naman to this great soul..ishwar aapki aatma ko shaanti de, aur agar agla janam ho to aisi jagah ho, jahaan aapko pura samman mil sake.
