The notes on the screen are SO helpful!! I love that you show all the notes, lyrics, tabla speed etc. that is so hard to come by. When we learn as adults from teachers who are used to not giving such detailed notes, it becomes so hard to follow. I appreciate all the effort you put into putting these details in these videos.

Unbelievable! This is my most favourite bandish in yaman! I heard it first from Kishori Amankar Ji decades back. It's the epitome of the spirit of Yaman. Also heard a nice rendition by Sanjeev Abhayankar from your gharana. But as ever, it's best when I hear it in your voice ❤.

My father used to play the sitar, but more importantly, he used to listen to classical music and had an enormous collection. One thing I learnt from him and the ustads I was lucky to meet is that the ultimate music is the one that touches the soul. Kabhi kabhi bahot riyaz se, sadhna se woh hasil hota haien. Kabhi kabhi woh sirf mata sarswati ka asirwad hota hein. Jiske paas woh hota hein, legend ho naa ho, woh dil par raaj karta hein. Aap ek 'sā' kya lagayen, aankh bhar aaye mere. ❤️
