A Beautiful Performance. I especially liked Priyani's explanations, such as (1) Raags are like a recipe for a particular dish. (2) The notes of a raag are like the ingredients needed to make the dish. (3) Different singers can emphasize different notes, just as different chefs can vary the amounts of the ingredients when making the dish. (4) Raags in movie are often called "mishr.a" (mixed) because they might combine various emotions (love, sadness, happiness)..

Excellent rendition of raag based songs which is not easy because they were recorded after innumerable rehearsals. What a deadly combination of singing a song and keeping a thourough knowledge of it makes it more meaningful and enjoyable. My favorite composers Burmanda and Panchamda's tunes find the opening slot. One better than the the other. Her total control of the tune, pitch, timing with faultless pronunciation of words. The musicians though less in number, gave all that is in the original compositions. Madam hats off to your excellent show. God bless you and all your future shows. The delicate turns and twists "Murkiya" is the icing on the cake. "Bas Nashsa Chagaya Aur Hogaya" An Indian from USA.
