Iv got an army artic sleeping bag bud and there excellent comfort rating to minus 10 and superb stuff sack only gripe if any is there a tad heavy but can’t beat them for the price !!!👍🏻

Don't worry you will be roasting in the army artic bag, can't go wrong with it for winter camping. Just tell her a real man sleeps in his boxers in an army artic bag🤣🤣, atb

What Colin, ya gotta buy a pickup to haul the thing? It would be interesting to see how comfortable you'd be outside in -15F. I have the MMSS military stuff and it's supposedly good for -30F but I wouldn't want to try it. The price on that bag isn't all that bad.

Lol, yeah it looks massive when it's not in the compression sack, but it actually packs down to a decent size. It's an excellent bag so I'm told. I'll use this more for summit camps and longer hikes, but still live using my British Army Artic bag as well. Yeah decent price for what it is, and got it a bit cheaper in the sales. Testing it out this weekend, to be about -7, should keep me toasty warm👍❄️🏕🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👌

The Rab Ascent 1100 is filled with 🦆 duck down not goose down. Rab's own 'sleep limit' is actually a 'comfort' rating to -25C for an average man. It's survival limit is around -30c to -35C. (Women tend to be up to 30% colder in extremities...there is also a 'W' female version). Obviously the ratings of any bag depends on many factors. Such as temperatures 🌡️ combined with wind factor, with or without clothing, and whether you're a hot or cold sleeper. I am generally a hot 🔥 sleeper, so even during winter ❄️ I tend to sleep naked inside this bag. The latest 1100 is exactly the same as previous 1100 except for the plastic zip guide and red instead of white Rab logo. This bag works well with a bivvy cover for extra weather resistance if sleeping on the mountains without a ⛺ tent, although it can often be too warm with a cover unless it's really frosty, windy or snowing. I advise you to purchase a decent quality stuff-sack with cross-compression buckled straps for the 1100, because it can be made into a much smaller package to fit inside the bottom of a rucksack for trekking.

Just bought it, and I will be taking it coming WInter to Swedish subarctic. I am expecting temperatures between -20 to -30 during the night. I will report back my findings.
