This is why I have so much respect for Amouage. They capture the middle eastern scent feel, without that B/O undertone.

Figment man gets alot of hate for being a pissy smell or BO which it kind of does with the civet and lemon in the beginning but settles down to a niche green freshy

I picked it up anyway just because I'm a huge collector of the 1 million fragrances I have them all including the rare ones like intense and absolutely gold so I pick up all the 1 millions every year....edit: so I just got my bottle in today One day after writing my previous comment and I have to say I don't smell any BO sorry I just don't maybe I'm already used to the smell of B.O. but I don't smell B.O. at all....🤷 For me this smells awesome

Ironically I don't like Santal 33 but I liked 1 Million Gold. It feels less dry/cloying. I'm not in a rush to buy it but I'll pick it up eventually. 7.5/10 imo

I just bought it and love it. For me it's nuclear. The opening dies really quick, the mid lasts 3-4 hours and it reminds me of JPG Paradise Garden. Then the drydown lasts 3-4 more and comes across very Santal 33.

I’m really intrigued to get my nose on 1 Million Gold. I think Cumin is more decisive to Western olfactory pallets than even oud. Oud gained acceptance, mostly out of fragrance peer pressure. Cumin, because it is a food spice, and one used in primarily Middle Eastern and Eastern food culture - sure you find it in Mexican food spicing but not as a primary spice ingredient, suffers from the fact that Westerners haven’t developed a sense of taste for it in food to a great extent. The same can be said for saffron, which can easily be criticized for is usage in some fragrances.

I think it’s more the fact that the main aromatic compound in cumin ( 3-hydroxy-3-methylhexanoic acid ) is also released by humans in the armpits. So cumin litterally smells like an unwashed body

Speaking of Rabanne, it's definitely time for a full video review on Golden Oud. Easy top 3 in the PR lineup, and still available direct from their website. If you don't have a spicy (gentle)oud fragrance, this is a great addition to mix it up, and the weather is definitely getting right for it!

I'm not getting the BO aspect at all and usually I can't stand frags that contain cumin. I just don't smell any cumin in this at all . Personally I quite like this flanker.

I checked it out some time ago at the airport. It wasn’t really into it at all. From that quick sniff, it was okay, but really nothing note worthy. I will put it on skin once I see it again to see if anything’s changed or if I get the BO smell.

Even with the original 1 Million, I always got that "BO" essence. I definitely smelled it in this one, so I have not purchased this one. Glad I dodged that one.

Reminds me of D&G Light Blue Intense and some others in the line that smell gross. Sour armpits. Blech. body odor … Not all in the line do… the OG for example.

Reminds me when I was working security at clubs and the Arab and Indian bro's would roll in bathed in the OG One Million or some form of Oud on a hot summers night. BO and Cologne, amazing mix...Also Paco Rabanna Pour Homme is the best OG frag Paco every created.

Just don’t get the BO note from this one; be getting a lot of comments on it. Reminds me of a striped down version of Cartier’s Pasha Parfum taking away the heavy Indian spices.

I liked your reviews and impressions, but calling this out as a body odor is really ridiculous.. i’m sorry. I bought a bottle, and indeed its not that loud or a compliment getter, but i believe its not intended to do so in the first place, how strange that may sound. I love it bcs its a very clean subtle sweet soapy scent.. just smells nice.

So you can't wear it through the mid, you can't wear it right after you spray it because the mid is coming soon after. I wouldn't buy a fragrance that i can wear only in the dry down... Nobody wants to take a shower, spray the fragrance on 6 hours before the date just so he doesn't smell bad
