I never tire of listening to this deep, philosophical, faith-filled man of God. And give thanks to God for his life. He's spot on, that we are people of the present whose purpose is to experience life in the moment, informed by the past but not determined by it, with hope in the future without being enslaved by it.

This is a wonderful message. Thank you Rabbi Sacks. Can anyone give me the two Hewbrew words with an English spelling? I don't know the Hebrew alphabet and I can't really hear the difference, but I would like to see the two words. Thank you.

they are initially spelled the same, vav-yud-kuf-reish, but the first word of vayikra has the small aleph at the end.
