HMR is a cracking round. I had one before I bought my .204. The .204 is also devastating on rabbits but better if you happened to come across Mr fox. it makes short work of grey crows too.

I've had the Thermnight for a week now. Note since Nov they have removed bluetooth and only Wifi used now for app camera connection and ballistic data xfer (better connection). Made rookie mistake and set scope height to 5cm (thermal lens) instead of 9cm in ballistic data. Now hold over is perfect on range finder. IR light is excellent. Incredible value and good quality.

Brilliant video's again . Lots of bunnies, great action i have a perm that uses the green fencing but with only an air rifle and night vision we can't get close enough to get a night shooting like you have . Were discussing F.A.C Do you find your getting high numbers simply because because your shooting at longer distances. Lol obviously your a wicked shot . But on our perm if we manage 10 at 35 we've had a good neet. Keep up the good work . Your doing a great job.

Hello My friend, I'm used to shooting a twelve foot pound air rifle with no knowledge or experience of anything more powerful. Your 17 HMR is quite devastating in comparison though a very nice looking rifle. May I ask please? Do you need to use artillary hold with your 17 HMR, as you would a spring air rifle? You were shooting at quite some ranges there, I didn't notice you using any hold over/under. I guess your rifle will be accurate for quite some way! Thank you for taking your time to show us, and explain your kit. I don't do very much night shooting, though if I got the opportunity, your video would be a great help. Initially, it looks a little overwhelming. I quite like my Pard, something I can clip onto my scope, with that flexibility, and I'm away. Thats all quite some kit. Thank you for showing us and your explanation, and best wishes.

The 17hmr is a very flat shooting round so you don’t need too much holdover between 50 to 150 yards. You don’t need any artillery hold. As for the previous commenter, he’s actually just a troll as this isn’t his only childish comment.

Love ur vids fantastic footage… do you collect the rabbits in the morning by remembering where you shot them or do you collect them using thermal as they will most probably be given off a heat source for a while therefore making it easier to find them… forgive me I don’t shoot at night … was just curious that’s all.

When i was young ,i was invited to one of my school teachers & his wife to the property,Tenterfield Australia. We were using an old 22 for rabbits,terrible shots. Walking back home,there was s rabbit,in the grass just beside me on the way back,hiding ,i pounced on it & actually caught it ,scrached the teachers shirt a bit ,when i didnt know what to as it went crazy. Couldn't kill it in the end ,put him in a gage at home & eventually let him go again.

@lancsvermincontrol2 ай бұрын
It's designed primarily as a spotter. For air rifles and close range shooting it works really well. I tested it on a 17hmr so the sensor won't pick up decent detail out at 100 yards that I was shooting at in this video, but lower powered rifles would be more suitable with the closer ranges.
