I love your torah drashas but a lot of what you stated does not fit me. I am not a kovod seeker .I thrive on doing mitzvos. my husband always puts his mother first and I accept it. I have my own checking account and i pay bills and share as much as i can.having my own account enables me to be a generous as possible. baruch hashem my children are kind souls. yes my husband criticizes everything he sees but with kindness he has become more easy going.Being selfless has been great and I love my family and I thank you sharing your time and your great wisdom. We are all works in progress.Hashem provided what I need so I may continue to develop according to his will.
