The pedal sounds great. The only thing that I really don't understand is why a shared eq. Probably when you have set a good sparkly clean sound is not gonna work exactly well for the high gain channel that seems to be very bright and needs a lot less highs to avoid harshness. I don't know. Anyway Victory is a good amp maker and probably they have their own philosophy. Good video as usual. 👍
@gabrielledebourg24872 жыл бұрын
Likely because it’s not two discrete channels, but rather more that you’re kicking in an extra gain stage.

Is there a difference in the power amp between the different models? For example, if I bought a V4 Duchess Amp and a V4 Copper preamp and ran them using the 4 cable method, would the V4 Copper running into the V4 Duchess sound the same as if I just had the V4 Copper Amp?

Oh yes, these look awesome! .. I have a Sheriff v4 first gen & the only thing I find is that as a 2 channel preamp I really wanted separate tone controls for each channel so that it’s easier to balance them... as they do different it’s a compromise one way or another, i.e. that if your clean tone is on point the dirty is not quite & if we had separate tone control both can be on point without having to touch the pedal. Bloody awesome otherwise though!
@Paul-D2 жыл бұрын
Great demo, was just saying on the andertons channel i think it would have to be the Sheriff for me. I wish it could have come in a little more affordable given you do need to have a decent pedalboard built around it (for me to get most from it) like demonstrated here. But its definitely firmly on the wishlist. I guess ill be at the point of choosing either Neural QC and the pedals i have, Or this and a few extra pedals and both would come in around the same sort of cash. With this having the added bonus of not needing a power amp.

OK not to sound stupid but if you are still answering questions on this product, I currently have the V4 sheriff preamp pedal running into a Marshall silver jubilee running into a 2 x 12 Friedman with scumbag speakers. I want to know if I can replace this area of my rig and upgrade to this model of the sheriff pedal. I know it will act as independent amplifier, which is fantastic but I also use it a great deal to put in front of amplifiers when I am traveling around, so I want to know can I still go through other amplifiers if there is not a speaker cab sometimes some of these places will only have a combo amplifier I could certainly pull the plug I guess but if it’s a 25 W amp I’m just wanting to know can I operate it as a regular pedal still to convert or actually, the truth is the reason I put it in front of the Marshall is because honestly the victory gain sounds are tremendously better just like the build of Friedman cabinets are better in the USA victory cabinets tend to be more expensive because of needing to be shipped here like the marshals are cheaper for you guys. Either way I love the victory stuff I have a sheriff 22 but again Taking that extra head around I have just found the V4 to be more effective and I dig the jubilee for certain things as well. Have to play a lot of classic rock, but the vintage channel is ideal for me and as I am watching this video, I am also considering the difference in the cost of this, and if I can come up with enough money to purchase The new victory we shall see thanks but just want to know if I can use it for a pedal. Sorry for the book I wrote great demo is always Man. Your channel is fantastic. Thank you again.

I love mine with one exception. I have yet to find a fuzz, overdrive or boost that sounds good with this amp. Alone it’s great but sometimes you want a slightly different sound.
@anjoy3ify2 жыл бұрын
This is awesome! I have a question, since I'm not a very technical guy on these things. So are you able to run the amps including the sounds of effects pedal through an interface and get the exact same sound as you would get when amplifying it through a standard cab?`So basically getting my signature sound into the DAW without having to mic a cab and record that signal.
@angelesk93822 жыл бұрын
Yeah basically yeh. It’s not the exact sound of a mic’d up cab- it’s an impulse response- which you’d have to watch a video on to understand it’s like a clever reverb basically - but they sound very similar, plus you have different options of cabs

I have the V4 Copper at home right now. Running it through a 1x12 cab there is quite some noise and hiss without adding gain. It’s seems like it’s preamp noise.
