Great video. My mouth is watering. I've always just baked the fish and pulled the spine/ribs right out in one piece. But then, I've never had the chance to back country fish. Sounds amazing.

***** except you don't skin it usually... pan sear it till its crispy and you got yourself a perfect piece of trout

Incredible technique... i tried it many times and adopted it since i saw this video... bémol; with bigger individuals it becomes a plus to know this way to filet but i feel there are easier ways even with a good rapala... but; thank you for the great pedagogy; so easy to learn that way! enjoyed and still do when i see it...

I live up in the higher elevation Sierra nevada mountains not a hatchery or any stocking being done. Point being wild trout have white meat. Steelhead and salmon have more of a pinkish/orange meat. Sometimes people think they've caught a trout but really it's a young steelhead which would have more color to the meat. Nice catch good size trout and also great filleting technique!!

I like to leave the skin and head on. These types of fish have very little bones my parents are used too back in their homeland, I find it sort of amazing the length people will go to remove them. still a very nice video!

@AlphonsusHollohan6 жыл бұрын
909beats if there is any toxins in the fish from bio-accumulation it will mostly be in the belly meat or the fat (which is also mostly at the belly as well) but you also have a liver so I wouldn’t worry about it.
