Nourredine Staifi, né Larbi Smati le 26 octobre 1956 à Sétif, était un artiste remarquable dont les apports à la scène musicale algérienne ont laissé un impact durable. Il est devenu une figure emblématique de la tradition musicale sétifienne dans les années 1980, notamment connu pour son tube "Ya Salah", qui a solidifié son statut parmi les sommités de cette époque. La carrière de Staifi a été tragiquement interrompue lorsqu'il est décédé le 17 décembre 1989 en France, à l'âge de 33 ans. كان نور الدين سطايفي، مولود العربي السماطي في 26 أكتوبر 1956 بمدينة سطيف، فنانا متميزا تركت مساهماته في المشهد الموسيقي الجزائري أثرا دائما. وأصبح شخصية رمزية في التراث الموسيقي بولاية سطيف خلال فترة الثمانينات، وعرف بشكل خاص بأغنيته الناجحة "يا صلاح" التي عززت مكانته بين نجوم تلك الحقبة. انتهت مسيرته الفنية بشكل مأساوي عندما وافته المنية في 17 ديسمبر 1989 في فرنسا عن عمر يناهز 33 عامًا. وكانت وفاته المفاجئة خسارة كبيرة لمجتمع الموسيقى ومعجبيه، لكن إرثه لا يزال قائمًا. ووري الثرى بمقبرة سيدي الخير بسطيف، حيث يتذكره باعتزاز أولئك الذين اعتزوا بصوته الفريد وعروضه الصادقة. ولا تزال موسيقاه يتردد صداها، مما يحافظ على روحه حية في قلوب الكثيرين الذين تأثروا بفنه.
