I was one of the people in the chat criticising the call to pit at the end, glad I was wrong Elray needs a race ban, the brake check on GB was bad but to some extent he has the right to decide when to brake into that corner (although he should not do it that early and that suddenly). The first brake check was horrific though, physically moved across in the brake zone to take off the front wing. That has to be a race ban. Alex messed up with that move at the end, he was fine to go for it but at no point was he fully alongside. He didn’t commit to the move, which gave Noguera the right to shut the door. And he didn’t even fully shut it, he left just about a car’s width but Alex expected more. Alex then goes and throws a tantrum by playing bumper cars with everyone who passed him, that was embarrassing. I get that he was annoyed, but don’t ruin others’ races just because you feel someone ruined yours

To your point on Alex: if this was repeated IRL you would be 100% correct, in CS the drivers agree to race fairly by leaving space at all times. Last lap + Nogueira was 4 tenths behind ElRey and on for his first win so you can understand why it happened, but he should have left more space and has apologised to Alex since then

@GB68 Yeah if it violates house rules then fair enough, although I would still argue Nogueira left just about a car’s width on the inside, it just would’ve forced Alex to slow down to fit through it and get the car turned which might be frowned upon. In all honesty I think Alex went for it half heartedly, which screwed him. If he fully committed I think it would’ve been fine, and if he waited of course there would’ve been no incident either. It just created an awkward side by side in a part of the track where neither driver wants it. Also for me Alex’s actions after the incident (the driving and swerving, not the complaining and rage) trump anything Nogueira did wrong, he probably ruined or got close to ruining about 4 or 5 drivers’ races on the final lap there

Honestly was such a good race and really clean racing apart from elrey brake checking gb. It’s nice to see this kind of race in the CS as it’s usually a lot more dirty. Ben had a great race and strategy, GB got shafted on the one dirty move of the race, Gillon just needed to wait until the back straight for that move and he woulda had it easy because sending it through there, that late, is always going to result in at least 1 spin and a road block
