Dodge already has a drag version since 2010, actually came out before the Copo camaros and at the same time as the Cobra Jets. Form all the articles, clues. Weight is only down 240+/-lbs less than the 4,450lbs hellcats, so 4,200lbs+/-. There is a picture on the demon site that shows the tire sidewall saying 815 and most articles are saying that is a clue to what it's going to be rated at. I do wish they lightened it to 3,900lbs.

Track??? you mean road racing? The Demon is a street legal drag car. RWD with drag radials is perfect. It's better to keep the weight down and 315mm are more than enough tire. The record for 315mm drag radial is 3.79s@201mph in the 1/8 mile. If the front tires are off the ground how much traction are they going to give you;-)?

I bet the mechanical parts will be available through Mopar Parts. Diff, driveshafts, hood, suspension, rim/tires etc. The engine mods, there are already tuners offering more power. The transmission programming might be more difficult.

JerseyMikeP true because we have Hennessy making there more powerful versions of the hellcat but the Demon gives us upgrades internally that was mainly problems with the hellcats. For example, upgraded drivetrain due to factory faulty etc..

It's Rumored to have around 815hp. The real news is what they have done to make it hookup/launch harder. From drag racing calculators based on power/weight it "could be tuned" to go 9.8. It's more likely with the tame gearing and street friendly suspension, it will run 10.4s+/- in stock trim. Just fast enough to potentially beat all none Million dollar cars in drag race.

It's an independent rear suspension...Most are like that. It gives more room/clearance for the exhaust and it reduces pinion angles/vibration.

Still cheaper to mod yours than buy this one. Probably can get some/most of these parts for your car (hood/cold air intake, rims/tires). At least you have a newer Dodge where there are aftermarket parts.
