On Episode 10, Get your Popcorn Ready! Terrell Owens joins the I Am Athlete crew this week and the conversation gets heated as the guys express their views on everything from race and Rooney rule, to rocky relationships between teammates and friends to health scares we face everyday.
The guys paint a picture of what the country looks like after the election and the conversation then turns personal as each opens up about experiences with prostate cancer screenings, with Chad’s hitting close to home after his father passed from it in 2010. Brandon encourages looking out for the health of women in their lives while Channing segues into a different kind of role he plays with his wife. In the words of TO- the show “changes gears” quickly” so buckle up, it's a fun ride!

It's powerful to see successful black men have thoughtful, meaningful, and fun conversations in a respectful way without a litany of curse words and disrespectful N-words. You don't know the influence this has on young black boys, especially when you agree to disagree. Even T.O. bringing up the importance of character and caring about our community, which got lost over the decades at all levels in the black community. That's big. Love this show.

Fred taylor is a really smart dude, and I also like how passionate, educated, and outspoken BMarshall is. The complete opposite of how they judged and portrayed him in the league, which was a mentally unstable basket case that you never know what you're going to get from him production wise on and off the field.

Shout out to Brandon on the discussion on knowing his wife's body. I completely agree with him that it is a good thing. The rest of the fellas looked a little nervous about that topic. The more self exams a woman does the better chance of early detection. Her man also assisting in that effort (even if it is not an intentional focus on that) is only an added benefit. I love it! Great job to all this week! 👏 👏👏👏👏 Oh, did Chad finish the dish after he found out about the bourbon? Lol

I implore, urge, beg every man, especially us as Black need to get examined not at 50 or 40 but IMMEDIATELY!! By the grace of God I’m 11 years in remission. Men, GET CHECKED OUT!! This is the best thing on youtube! I loved the scope on health and wellness for men and women. Men should also check for breast cancer. This episode is helping take the stigma off going to the doctor. Like it or not sometimes we all have to get poked and touched by a Doctor. 😭 It's the adult thing to do so we can be around for our loved ones.
