The product is interesting ! Thanks for this video ! Just a few questions: Why is the antenna not connected during tests carried out in the car? Is it optional? What is its use?

Thanks for watching! The antenna is actually optional and isn't needed. It's there in case the internal antenna gps signal is low. Where we were testing it, the signal was great and the Alfa we tested it in was a press car so I didn't want to stick something on a car that wasn't ours. If it's being used for a race car I would definitely recommend using it to make sure you always have a good signal at all times. Great video. Could you set it up to measure 0-10kph, 0-20kph, 0-30kph, 0-40kph and so on? So 10kph increments all the way to 100kph. Similarly, could you set it up to measure 400m distance with 100m increments?

Copied this from their site. You can’t do this specific increments but you can mix both speed and distance measurements that are listed below. I’d reach out to them to see if it’s something that they would consider programming. RaceBox Drag Meter offers three options to choose what you want to measure Speed - depending on the units setting: 0-60 kph, 0-100 kph, 100-200 kph and 0-200 kph or 0-30 mph, 0-60 mph, 60-130 mph and 0-130 mph Distance - depending on the units setting: 60 ft, 100 m, 200 m and 400 m or 60 ft, 1/16 mile, 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile Custom - use your own set of disciplines to measure. They can be configured in Drag Meter Settings.

Have you tested this against the likes of the Racepak CL1 or CL2, Racelogic Driftbox, Garmin Catalyst, Aim Solo?

I have been using the CL-1 for a few years now (live data for people in the pits and anywhere on the planet is a great feature) also have the Racelogic Vbox Lite (over 7 years old now) as well as a Racepak IQ3 logging dash (42 channels logged).

Can it do a rolling start?i drag race boats.we come in to the lights at 7-8 mph,I know the vbox works for us but can this box to it also?

This wouldn’t work like a gps data recorder. This would be more for measuring drag racing distances and for racetrack laps.

It can’t do 60-0 but I would reach out to RaceBox to add it as an option. You can turn off the 1 foot rollout. It’s in the drag meter set up settings.

Clearly built by people that don’t drag race. Shows you 1/4 mile ET but not speed. Any workarounds for that?

I’d say the one thing it really lacks is the community/leaderboards aspect that draggy has. Apparently it’s in the works.
