RACEHORSE PASS - Alberta to BC on KTM 690

Took my 690 over Racehorse Pass from Alberta to BC. Rode the Alberta side twice, once with the drone and once on the gas and kind of mashed up the footage. The BC descent was challenging on Rosie (690). I had to fiddle with the ABS and she's just a big fat ass mama of an offroad bike, lol! My Gopro was set to superview and it really flattened out the footage but I assure you there were several steep, rocky sections where Rosie was a handful. I ran into some jeepers coming up the BC side and I had a minor spill in the rocks but for the most part the ride went smooth. I'm not sure I could have made it back to AB from BC on the 690. The rocky, steeps would have tested her for sure and I was solo.

Did this one with a fully loaded KLR and CRF 250l ... What a downhill that was! The video does not do it justice! Beautiful shot though!

No problem turning around, makes me happy just to see other looneys out there in the bush haha. I know what your rigs look like now so ill be watching for you next summer. To early for bikes on racehorse until about 2nd week of july. You both have sweet wagons!

Hi Scuba, GPX files are readily available through a google search. The Alberta side is easy, the BC side is not. I have a 1090r and I would not take it down the BC side. It can probably be done, but I dont want to beat up my big bike given better options.

Downhill is very tricky... Don't overload your bike.
