Raceland Coilovers: My 5 Month Review (99-04 Mustang)

For those complaining about your SR coils or Raceland coils you get what you pay for, but when you change one thing your gonna need to change another. If the springs are "Soft" get a set of stiffer springs for your coils and "Vice Versa." If the car is "Bouncy" on take off get stiffer sway bars and upgrade your shocks and struts. AM has the best write-up in terms of how each piece affects ride quality or performance.

The ride quality isn’t gonna be ideal for any car with as low as you are.. there is less suspension travel n lack of adjustments for dampening but even then at that ride height ur goin to feel everything ... best entry level coilovers in my opinion for anyone looking to get the stance of there dreams that doesn’t drag or auto cross .. I have had em for a year on my stang n love them for wat they are but just like u I’m ready for bags .. great vid bro 💪🏾

Super late to comment but all coilovers are gonna feel every dip in the road unless you spring for adjustable dampening. That's why expensive coilovers are better. They got the shits.

Preciselysly i came to watch this video cause i see the brand and see that its a lot cheaper than others... I have a 2007 Pontiac G5 and i been forced to make a change cause their are leaking... So i say i want an upgrade but not too way expensive... See tein megan and Godspeed ... So what do you suggest guys ?

Probly Ride a lot better if you lifted it up higher. If you're still running stock struts and shocks Because they are not made To be compressed that long of time Probably need To upgrade them

The coilovers came with they’re on shocks and struts. I love the stance so I’m hesitant on raising it.

What about coilover sleeve kits? You get to choose your shock and you just slide it over the shocks n install em

I did a sleeve kit and one of them blew the top out after a couple of hundred miles of mild driving. But it’s your car, your money and only you can decide what is right for you and your build

sorry imma hit you with a few questions, what tires you running front and rear when what are your wheel and tire specs , trying to get that nice ass fitment like you got right there just on a s197

If you have an s197, than his fitment is irrelevant to you. s197 have different wheel arch sizes, overall tire diameter that's called for, and the backspacing is different. I would suggest joining an s197 FB group and you can find someone in there with a good stance to reference.

I can see your point, but upgrading the suspension is a performance upgrade not just a aesthetic one. would i drop my gt that low no, but i prefer the form follows function approach, and will take the extra inch or whatever to make sure i have decent suspension travel over looks. but again it's his car, and like he said he wants bags anyway,

I had the SR coilovers same as raceland the stance was nice but they suck save your money to get a better quality the ride quality was terrible very bouncy and like 5 months later I went over some railroad tracks at 20 mph and the stud that holds it to the castor camber plate on the passenger side broke AM said it was due to abuse they can not replace it and either they couldn’t either way because no warranty. Bottom line save your money get a better quality suspension especially if this will be your daily driver

I have them.. my car sits to low so I tried to adjust them up.. they don’t go higher for some reason.. they sit at the level they’re at or they go lower. Problem I’m having is my exhaust is low and I’ve gotta figure out away to go up an inch or they are coming off and I’ll just get lowering springs

Bc racing Coilover are trash to, have them for about a week now worst ride ever, stay away from them spend the extra money and buy a expensive kit like kw, or go with some race drop springs and adjustable Koni race struts, you will have a stiff solid ride, Bc racing is pretty much made for people who want to drop it low and go to shows!!! The ride is very bouncy! This is a warning bc racing is also a cheap brand and if you don’t care for ride quality then go for it!! I’m pulling mine out and selling them you can’t drive it for long periods of time you will get sore, lol and I have a fully built boosted car that made 780hp to wheels 01 mustang covert, just ordered springs and struts from Steeda

RiskyPlays I’ve got the primos for my 2012 mustang they are still stiff even on soft dampening, had them for about 8 months they’re still holding up with no problems and Raceland has lifetime warranty.

Shit coilovers. My Cobra came with them, and the car had 30k miles on it, two of the 4 dampers where completely blown.
