Racer X Films: Ken Roczen at Home

Honda HRC's Ken Roczen’s 2017 season crashed to a halt at Anaheim 2, with a big get off that now threatens to end his career. But Kenny is determined and optimistic, and, honest as always, as he shares his story of injury, surgeries, recovery and his future in this very candid interview, shot at his home in Florida. I was thinking the same thing. The arm never even flinched. Scary. But, if Michael "Mick" Doohan can come back from that leg injury in 1993 and win 5 world titles, then Kenny may be able to do it as well.

I would be devastated if Kenny lost his left arm. People don't entirely understand the seriousness of compartment syndrome. When your muscles swell or squeeze to tight against your flesh you will not have any circulation, thus killing the flesh, ad turning the arm/leg purple until it dies and has to be amputated. If you think about it, he probably has bad nerve damage in his arm from the snapped bones, torn ligaments, etc which all cause nerve damage. I pray for him man. Even if the surgeon said the arm can not be saved, they would NEVER amputate it right away. His arms are worth MILLIONS of dollars for many companies and sponsors, and that's why he has the best doctors available. If there was still a strong chance of him losing his left arm, they would never tell us until it happened. Could you imagine that? I pray he makes a full recovery. Kids freaky fast

I've sustained similar injuries before but has less surgeries and it took over a year to recover and I've never gained full strength and endurance back in the arm. He'll be out till outdoors 2018 at the earliest.

I wonder how he handled the detox and withdrawal from all of those damn opiates... Like you sure it was really the flu bud? Sounds like withdrawal to me lol. Regardless it's horrible to see this man... Dude is a monster and has so much time ahead of him. I'm worried he won't ever get back to where he was. I'm an X-Ray Tech and I've seen a lot of injuries and surgeries etc. He seriously fucked his arm up and it will take an extremely long time for him to even regain normal function.
