I got a hold of the Second Heat demo cassette when I was in high school, or it was a dubbed tape the manager of the local record shop gave me. Later on, got it on CD when I had the chance. This band and song, one of the hidden gems of the late 80s LA scene. Thank you for posting this and can't believe it's taken me till 2022 to discover this video. You learn something new every day. For 1988, the quality of this video is awesome. If anyone knows if this recording ever made it to a live CD or compilation please let me know.

Of all the Heart of a Lion versions, Halford, Priest, and this one, I prefer this one (studio anyway). But all the songs they did for this show were great.. What a freaking awesome band Racer X is.

Holy shit! I should go to this venue all the time back in the day, and I saw the first Mr. big show ever hear! I missed the show, though.

Sounds like he is cheating the first "heart" in the chorus, it's too effortless.

Twelve years and not one thumbs up😂 to each their own. I would have liked to have heard Rob sing it back in the 80s when he still had full range and could sing with the effortless power he possessed then.
