Just got my car back from the performance shop. 5.7 stroked to 392 with a MMX boost cam and longtubes. I’m currently running it NA (because the stroke and cam ate my wallet lol) but even so, the power difference is insane. The power it puts down to the wheels on a mustang dyno is a little higher than a scatpack. Super hyped!! Just wanted to share lol and also great video!!

I don’t think I ever told you that in 2017 I got my first Dodge Challenger(v6) traded it in for an RT the very next year and now due to your “research and testing” I’m leaving very hard toward a scat pack Widebody as I am not a drag racer. Keep it coming man, I’m prob one of your most silent dedicated followers lol. I will say I’d love to see you review a Hellcat Redeye Widebody in terms of how it drives (stock) vs Xcessive but I do understand that dealers are a bit stingy with allowing test drives on those expensive cars and I don’t think any of your buddies have one. Plus the diff between a stock Hellcat and a stock Redeye is about a tenth of a second in the quarter mile I believe. But just thought it might be interesting to see the difference between a modded cat and a stock or even modded Redeye.

In case anyone was wondering B Mason made the same 60-130 run in what is essentially a stock Hellcat. The only thing that is different in his car is a transmission tune. His time was in the low 8s. When reading a time slip at the dragstrip, the 60 foot time is a measure of torque and mph on the big end is a function of horsepower. What you saw in this video is what the difference in horsepower does to performance.

Those 0-60 numbers show what a car can do from a stop in ideal launch conditions, but more often your cruising when you need power to pass someone. RacerX my wife Beth Benitone are both subscribers and just love your channel so much. We have had our 2019 Challenger TA 392 for a year. Like your wife, it is her's, I just get to drive it when we are together so I will feel like "The Man". We have 15,000 miles on the car, and will need to replace our Pirelli p zero Nero all season tires before our Southern Illinois Winter comes (Pretty Light, we will put her away if it requires plowing). TO be honest my wife is very hard on them :) You talk a lot about changing out the tires between your wife's scat and your hellcat for racing. Can you consider doing a show on BEST Tires especially in our cases for everyday driving like you guys do for your scat. Right now I am trying to decide between new Pirelli p zero nero all season replacements, but honestly I like the ride, but did not feel the wore very well, but I have never had tires with nearly 500hp on them... They also have a p zero nero all season PLUS, or maybe the Nitto Motivo these are where I was looking, then I had a few others suggested to me such as the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, Az800 or Az850, Nitto NT555 G2, One has recomended Ironman Imove Gen 2 A/S. It would be great to hear you talk about this. We run 275/40zr20, I also see a lot of people recommending us to move up to 295's (Saying I can go up to a 295 on the current rims) or even go to Hellcat Rims 10.5 and run 305/35/20. Some suggest all the way around and others recommend stay with 275 on front and go 305 on back. Again would love to hear about this in an upcoming LIVE STREAM or VIDEO. Blessings and Thanks for the Channel-- great stuff.

Would like to see you run the hellcat in better air. I did my first draggy 60-130 a few days ago and ran a 5.9. 2011 Mustang 5.0 , T56, VMP blower making about 850. 1600 DA. Next time I will shift a little bit sooner. I need to make some adjustments.

Awesome video. I have a pretty decently modified Charger SP and moving to the Ft. Worth area next month. I'm used to different weather so would be interesting. What part of North Texas are you in? We are looking into Roanoke, Walsh, and Keller area for our next home

Great video! Just watched your scatpack vs stinger video the other day, would be interesting to see scatpack 60-130 vs a stinger 60-130
@RacerX94 жыл бұрын
It certainly would although I give the Scat the advantage on that one

Great video. I have to get new tires for our 2019 Challenger TA 392. It came with 275/40zr20. I want to know for the replacement what do you think? nitto motivo vs. pirelli p zero Nero all season. Also is there a benefit to the all season plus over the regular pirelli p zero Nero all season?

I just bought 4 Michelin pilot sport 4s for my Hellcat and it changed everything for the better!!
12.65 seconds for my 2016 mustang gt with Roush catback and on the E85R tune, using the Dragy...i did my run with the 1/4 mile run in mind and took it to 130...0-130 is 17 seconds, 12.65 for the 60-130 on the same run

Thx for the great videos! Curious why that brand new 5.7 Daytona puts out 25 less hp than the 5.7 in my 2010 ram,you'd think power would creep up over the years,not down

Because FCA has an annoying habit of de-tuning the 5.7 Hemi.

Is that RT tuned? The stock tune really shuts you down when you approach 130. Once that limiter is turned off you can get to 130 much faster.

The RT is stock.. Yes it seemed to hit a wall around 115

If you start the test around 40-45, that will give you about .5 quicker time than starting from 50-55. Why that is; only thing I could think of is momentum. I have done a few hundred pulls on my dragy and it's essentially how I tuned my bike for different fuels. Consistency is key with the start speeds. Otherwise, awesome results. Gonna test my new tune out on my 335i this week and using your numbers will provide me with the data I need to ensure I can kill scatpacks lol. Great video.

Also. The slightest incline or decline makes a big difference as well; so being consistent in road choice matters tremendously as well.
@RacerX94 жыл бұрын
Yes I think next time I will start a little lower 👍

Do you think maybe you could’ve edged a better time on the scat if it was a straight road rather than a curved one?
