The root cause of this is not really crude oil. Crude oil has been over $100 and did not impact markets and rupees so badly. The thing that is different right now is the US Bond yields are at the highest so FIIs are withdrawing investments from India and investing them in US Bonds that are giving them 5% guaranteed returns in dollars rather than getting returns in Rupee which is depreciating against dollar at 5%

If you read my comment how can i know that mam Besides your correct and satisfactory answer for today’s fall, I believe that in a 12-month timeframe, Nifty has been continuously rising. There was a pause of 2 years due to COVID and the 2024 election results which reversed immediately,but it hasn’t shown a significant correction since 9 years . The uptrend has been steady, with occasional pullbacks or sideways movements, but now it has stretched significantly. Can 2025 be a doubt year for market .Please correct me if I’m wrong.
