Love season 3!! It reminds me when I have to leave my child for work and just talk to her in the phone...is hard...but if someone dare to criticize me I'll bite them. 🤣🤣🤣

Well...I know through my older sister...and from so many long-time friends and their spouses...I think it's HARDER for most families these days...and I'm thinking about those two-parent families. For single parents...even HARDER....more challenging. When I was a kid, my mom didn't work until I was 5 years old. I had 5-10 other local parents...all but one a woman, who could/would readily babysit me....or as I got a little older...watch oveR me in our building's courtyard....playground....as I often played with their kids. Our building in the NW Bronx even had a cranky old man who'd yell at us regularly...though as I got to know him more...and got older: he yelled at everyone! lol Thinking just now of that title fro one of Hillary Clinton's books...which she took from an African proverb: IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD... For most of us, this involves grandparents (mine were all dead by the time I was 5)...extended family, neighbors, plus neighborhood "institutions"....be they our local public library...local schools which offer afterschool and weekend programs...not-for-profit groups like BOYS CLUBS/GIRLS CLUBS, our local church/synagogue/temples....even if we're not a member of that particular faith(!)...plus, as I wrote...the cranky old man who'll rat you out if you set off firecrackers....or use bad words. If not already, and you find that you/your family are being squeezed, PLEASE rethink who you can unitize/us/befriend as part of your child's support system. I live just @5 minute walk from the building in the NW Bronx where I gee up in the 60s/70s....seems that kids just don't play street games anymore....basketball courts are often empty, and kids are safe, include their private houses...apartments on the computer or watching TV. We NEED physical activity...and should have life enriching experiences at all ages. Hope all goes well with you/your kid. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I'm glad that Rachel keep her hair color for the role, and keeps that separation between herself and Mrs. Maisel. She's fantastic! I SO DIDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE Luke Kirby (plays Lenny Bruce) so horribly that it had me wondering, why was he here?! They got renewed for a 4th season! YAY!

So tired of Abby's comments that make it seem like she has so much life experience....still today, to this day, in 2019. Stop. Life existed way before you Abby. You don't know all! STOP! Like Whoopi just said, none of us know it all so be open to others - ABBY!!!!!!!

Abby can't ask a single interesting and logical interview question, she just can't. She also can't ask a question without bringing herself or her family into it.

The lack of time she dedicates to child care sort of shows the attitudes that the upper class had towards childcare. Even before she was a comedian, she pawned off her children to her grandparents, or Zelda. She even made a line about her never doing home-keeping because she's Jewish; of course what she really means that she is a member of the upper class who's Jewish, where Jews stereotypically hate home-keeping according to her. Of course the show also shows the importance of the nuclear family; Midge and Joel move back in with parents, which is juxtaposed by Susie's terrible family. The show also at least makes an effort to explain the practicalities of Maisel raising her children using her large support system as opposed to both of Ross' children in Friends who only show up when convenient.
