Bunny was special. I wish I could have known her, and in some remote and odd way, I feel as if I did. 🌿🌲☘️💚🌹💚🍀🌲🌿 P.S. This is one of my favorite jewelry collections. 🐇🤍🐇

I purchased a few items at the Sotheby’s Auction of Bunny Melon’s Estate. None of those featured in this video. Mine are a 14k gold needle case and a 14k gold drum pin cushion charm. They are among my favorite possessions, and a small piece of history.

Her collection is beautiful & amazingly unique! I wonder what the $ value is of her jewelry. Did they auction off her jewelry after her death?

It is to her credit that a woman who could buy the entire cache of diamonds at Cartier demonstrates in these pieces a strong restraint in so many. They are tasteful, but rarely vulgar. Now, that pampered life with her own plane strip, which Elizabeth II visited, is another world onto itself. I hear she granted an "audience" (at the age of 100 or so!) to Woopie Goldberg! What those two beings could have been discussing is something that astounds me to a point----was it Shlumberger?!!!

I thought you’d enjoy this. Her collection was a beautiful “flower garden.”

I can’t imagine justifying the jewels these women adorn themselves with. It is so beyond me. I think of how I want wells in Africa, to protect the animals from poachers and a million other things. As lovely as sparklies are, to me pure adornment of a sows ear! I want to see results and change. Even if I lived 10 lifetimes I would never ever get this use of money, ever! I adore people who personalities are more magical than jewels by the good give back. Money is finite in this world. Only generosity of spirit is a prayer for the future long after we are gone and a flicker of a memory. And theses lovely sparkling things are unimportant unless you are a Queen. A nice wide gold band will say, ‘I’m loved and spoken for’.

a person of such quality and taste limited by the hideous aesthetic of the 50s and 60s which manifests in this collection with a few exceptions. Her best accomplishments were in botany and interior design. Some of these are horrid and I remember the style well.

It’s never to late to remember that the trump woman had the White House rose garden destroyed .

“ trump woman”……..you mean MELANOMA, right?? Because that’s EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS…….A MALIGNANT TUMOR.
@sergpie2 жыл бұрын
Did you know that the irrigation of the rose garden wasn’t upgraded since the 1970s, and root-rot was a severe problem even for the crabapple trees? Speaking of those trees; the ones Mellon planted have been replaced at least 4 times since 1962, and the most if not all the originals, have since died (one is supposedly found a new home in the south lawn).

Thank you for clarifying. I am not a Trump fan but I thought this gesture seemed to be an act of class.?
