Thank you Rachel for the memories especially the last few years. You are a national treasure. Wonderful role model, European Champion, Copa Finalisimma Winner and World Cup Finalist. She was a master at the Total Football style at RB, LB, LWB and ST. At 32 she’s focusing more on family, so totally understandable for her to step away from the International scene and focus on her club career. She’s lit up the WSL since she’s come back from the States and can’t wait to watch her continue her journey with Villa and after.

it's no surprise to me that she's called it a day on her international career , as she hasn't been a starter in the first 11 consistently since the euros & was used sparingly during the world cup & games recently, even though she's a proven versatile player & a golden boot winner both in the u.s & the wsl last year & as scored consistently in the league ,with villa who are having a indifferent season this year , which would be fair to say , It must be disheartening ,when others get picked over you, who are great players but not as prolific & sitting on the bench & watching from the side lines , would of probably of scored more goals given the chance & played as the striker , the term world class ,gets said alot about players but Rachel daley is one that should be in that conversation , she's showed it at club level & internationally. my favourite england player & plays for my club ,UP THE VILLA , once a lioness always a lioness once a claret & blue villian always a claret & blue villian .
