Rachel DeMille Interview 2 of 3: TJEd, Thomas Jefferson Education, Leadership Education

In this video, I chat with homeschool advocate, Rachel DeMille. Rachel DeMille and her husband Oliver created the Thomas Jefferson Education (Tee-jay-Ed) model of homeschooling. She has 8 kids and 10 grandkids with a variety of gifts and challenges, including several with dyslexia, several with extreme precocity, one with profound disabilities; TJEd has served them all well, and her adult children are amazing advocates for and examples of homeschooling success.
Rachel is the co-author of the bestselling book The Phases of Learning, the author of the award winning family school resource “This Week in History,” and most recently has partnered with her 30yo daughter Emma Cox in creating a highly successful coaching and content subscription for pre-scholar children and their parents called The Young Statesman/Stateswomen Society - or YSS.

Thank you, I instinctively wanted to go this route (not being overly concerned about the mechanics). But I have had a lot on nay sayers and critics. I’m dyslexic so coming from that I know the frustration of being creative but lacking mechanics.
