A friend of mine named Brink Brinkman shared this song with me. Brink himself wrote the song. I didn't know much about Rachel, so I did some digging. Here is what I found in one of the reviews:
"Rachel MacLean began life in a very musical family. She and her three siblings were Preacher’s kids living in rural communities throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Music was fun and the most affordable form of entertainment for them all! With parents who sang and played piano, it was natural for all four children to develop a deep love of singing from a very young age, but it was the two youngest who decided to make it their career focus.
Rachel and her sister, Mary, started singing professionally in the mid 90’s and have five successful independent albums to their credit. Known as The MacLeans, they have toured throughout the Maritimes and internationally. The MacLeans have been featured on CBC television and radio, CTV, Global TV and Eastlink Television.
Rachel has been penning songs for the last 25 years. She takes her inspiration from life, her beautiful Maritime home and her own spiritual journey. Rachel delivers soothing and uplifting music and radiates a unique warmth that comes from her love of life."
Lovely voice. Comforting song. I love the message of the song, which is repeated over and over in the Bible. Say, John 16:33. And another verse that John was inspired to write in Revelation 21:4 (look them up.) Thanks, Brink, for alerting me to Rachel.
