You can tell how much she's sung the set for the musical- because her voice has matured from repetition and familiarity- she's also making her own decisions about the length of the notes she's singing. She's amazing.....

She sounds so IN IT in this one. So present in every moment. I also just...can't believe that riff. Tapping a G flat like it's nothing.
@RuckalltheFules7 жыл бұрын
IMournTheWicked055 where is the G flat and the F? I dunno notes. I was always rubbish in music class.
@Gobble-zc3kc7 жыл бұрын
Nik W. the high F is on the "I'm flying high deFYing gravity" its high and loud and the G flat is part of the high F riff so she jumps up a note so it's more like deFFFFYYYing gravity

@Fearn and Tucker’s Angel Forever I can honestly say I prefer Rachel overall to Idina. She's MUCH better at Defying Gravity. Acting-wise, I think Idina was Elphaba, but Rachel is interesting to watch because she brought something new and different to the role. A mixture of grittiness and vulnerability all at once that was fascinating to see, that was VERY different from Idina's take on Elphaba.
@tillyboos5 жыл бұрын
@Fearn and Tucker’s Angel Forever NEVER and I mean NEVER tell me what I can and cannot say in my OWN WORDS. EVER. That's insulting to me. Thanks. Chill the fuck out and calm down. And it's HARDLY an insult to Rachel whatsoever to mention Idina. I've seen both of them perform Elphaba, and I loved them both in the role. I liked Stephanie J. Block, Shoshana Bean, Eden Espinosa and Jackie Burns in their portrayals of Elphaba also. Is it insulting for me to mention them? I think not. That's all I was really saying. No need to pick it apart and insult me. And if you paid attention, you will note I stated I PREFERRED Rachel in the role. I even AGREED with, and gave a thumbs up to your comment about Rachel being an "untouchable" and "best" Elphaba and I STILL got a huffy puffy bitchy attitude from you about it. I've had it with DRAMA QUEENS on really trivial matters such as these. Opinions are subjective when it comes to acting and vocal performance, but I am entitled to have my opinion and you don't have to agree, but you don't have to be so insulting and derisive toward me about it either.

She is SO nuanced. I love it, how she goes from that growl, right into such a smooth and beautiful battle cry at the end. What I love about her is there's always something new to discover with listening to her. AHMAZING! Felt SO BLESSED to have seen her in New York. INSANE TALENT.
