Using the power of the media to raise awareness of a critical yet under viewed issue. Weisz and Bolkovac have a great message.

It takes great courage to do such things in corrupt times, Kathryn Bolkovac is a true hero, and an inspiration. She lost a lot but I think she gained everything truly worth having instead.

I agree, I am from Africa (Ethiopia) where The AU's secretariat, the African Union Commission, is based in the capital City.... (Addis Ababa) i had the chance to work with some high delegate, diplomat, emissary, Prime Ministers etc... I conclude from my experience that all what they do is 75% bullshit. The Money is wasted for their stupid Conferences, Meetings, Travel Expenses ...

starlitephi, why is it sad that she says she was doing her job? Think about it - had the trafficking not been brought to her attention BECAUSE OF HER JOB, then how would she have exposed it - with no knowledge of it? She was in a very special position and situation because of her job, in which she was able to take action. Obviously, the other people around her were not interested in exposing the crime - because they were involved in the crime. It's not logical to think that someone who has no exposure or involvement in local law enforcement would be able to take action that close to the situation.Yes, we can all help, by donating to organizations that combat trafficking, we can pray for those who fight against it, but we will not all be able to be involved at the level Mrs. Bolkovac was. So yes, she was doing her job - to a higher degree than most would have. Also, usually when people use that phrase, it is usually a sign of humility because they do not want to make much of themselves. She was doing what she thought was right.

She was chosen to portray that really gorgeous star, Hedy Lamarr in "Face Value", but recently it was cancelled cause they had to do a rewrite the script.

It is sad that Mrs. Bolkovac admits that her motivation was just "doing her job." I'm I to think that if it would not had been her job, then she would have not done it??? This is a matter of humanity! NOT A JOB! This is the kind of mentality in our society that must be ERADICATED BY THE ROOTS! We must FIRST be human beings before we can just "play a ROLE." However, THANK YOU MRS. BOLKOVAC!

First comment is something completely distracting from the real source of the problem. Great. This is what people should hear. That she is the bad one cause she said she was ''doing her job'' Hello there!!! Focus on the problem !!! Murderers fuckweirds all around us! Even her state comes from fear!!! And they way she was treated!! You would make a great politician.

No. She was no wrong. She meant that she was no activist with an agenda. She was just doing what she was supposed to do as opposed to what the other police officers were actually doing.

I have to disagree with Mrs Weisz in that a comparable, equally harrowing film of the same topic of post Soviet Balkan collapse : Director Elie Chouraqui & "Sarah" - Andie MacDowell's "Harrison’s Flowers"(2000).

It seems that Rachel doesn't care about the human trafficking issue besides the "ordinary woman doing extraordinary things" idea. Sad.
