I understand the “polo shirts tucked in” line because that’s my school uniform. Just to paint a full picture for you, I live in Florida,my school is set up like a college campus so I have to walk out of one building to get to another class. Some of them are all the way on the other side of the campus! I have to wear polo shirt tucked in...IN THE WORST CONDITIONS POSSIBLE!

I still enjoy this as much as I did years ago, but nowadays I would give so much to have a life of Wednesday mornings filled with beige and oatmeal and polo shirts. I still find the poem beautiful, but it hits different now when color in my life is less often a party and more often a warning sign. No shade to people who enjoy excitement, but for me personally I would actually consider it an accomplishment to be able to settle right now.
