I watched the Fever trailer in its entirety. It got me hype for next season. I have to watch all the season opener trailers, but just based off what you mentioned I think it’s smart & hilarious for teams to throw shade at us (Fever fans). Of course some of us will be offended because there is truth based on the comments people say about us, but that’s good for the marketing & keeping the conversation going about the WNBA. Love all of this. Larry Bird and Magic liked each other. They did commercials together. Their rivalry was more about the two teams that drafted them. Celtics and Lakers were rivalries when Bird and Magic were in diapers. MJ never had a rival. There was around 10 players that they mention as rivals but none of them stuck. Kobe never had a rival. Caitlin Clark never had a rival and never will. How can you rival a player that is a elite scorer and a elite passer. Has that person been born yet. Will CC still be in the league when the next True Generational Player comes into the league. I say no. I see what is in WCBB and I think there are a few players that will make a impact in the next 4 years.

There is no rivalry when it’s one sided. One player is way way ahead in statistics (breaking a lot of records) and having so many followings. One fills up stadiums (they have to move to bigger venues) while the other one has to do a lot of gimmicks and lower prices to entice people to watch.

Some ticket outlets offer two seats together for over $1200 each. I saw low prices starting at just above $200+, and the highest I saw was $1604pp. A dream night out, opener in Indiana WoW!

Pistons bulls Lakers Celtics were rivals in the late 80's early 90's. Rookie of the year was never close day 1 Reese can't compare to cc. Media made rookie of year a race. The only problem I, personally, see with these attempts at humor is the following: Most of this league showed their azz & their utter & blatant toxicity this season. They were so nauseatingly unprofessional, that some people--myself included--just do not even want to see any shade or attempts at humor from them. They are just very, very unlikable. They sort of "trained" us to take their words & actions as shade & hatred--at all times. That is on THEM. That'll happen when you act like children and insult your "sugar fans"--your new meal ticket--at every turn. Had they embraced their golden goose and acted like mature grownups, they'd have a slew of new fans and we'd all be having a hearty chuckle about these "shade videos". BTW, no snowflake here. I am literally a joker of the first order. I just also happen to detest many of these people. Yes, I am biased as a CC fan, but I loved their video and thoguht it was the best. Not only due to fandom, but mainly because it was professional...but still very entertaining, captivating and engrossing. When the rest of the league loosens up--so will I. In sports, 'bandwagon fan' typically refers to latecomers to a *winning team* - which for most of the season, the Fever were not. The Fever were simply more entertaining and interesting than any other team. I agree that fans shouldn't be soft or salty, however, a more apt cookout video would have depicted the Fever fan bringing a smorgasbord while the rest of the league waited with their hors d'oeuvres.

All you have to do is look at Iowa home and away attendance the last 2 years that CC was there. Also the TV ratings for Iowa games for those same 2 years.
