Great tips, Rachel! I used to organize everything by pages instead of by project/team. It served me well, but your ideas are better when considering the file size/longevity of complex projects. Thanks for the insights, and I hope you are well

Thank you, Jessica, I'm well! There's no right/wrong way to organize your Figma file/project/team, it's okay to iterate and evolve as you scale.

This is the best video I could find on this topic. I appreciate you! 🌷 I'm a one-man design team in the company I work for and have been working on one product for 5 years. I only have one filre + another for a design system. It's a big file. I've been procrastinating a refactor of my whole system for over 2 years now. Tried once, but I felt overwhelmed and gave up. Hopefully this time will be more successful. I think I'll go with the second approach: "One project for each feature/production state". QUESTION: In some flows multiple features can overlap. This means that when you update one feature, it will have to be updated in multiple projects (multiplied by multiple screens in each)! How would you go about it? Also (offtopic but maybe a solution to the above): Would you componentize whole sections of a screen? I use separate pages for: - particles (for icons and small junk like that), - atoms (for buttons, inputs, radios etc.), - molecules (small groups of multiple atoms and particles like header bars and navigation) AND - organisms (large sections of a screen, like a grid of cards or a whole pricing plan seciton. Some of them get to be reused, some aren't. Organisms really feel like an overkill to me and are a pain in the A, because you can't edit them without breaking them (complex tables anyone?)! Then again, without them you can loose consistency between screens. Since it's half-automated, it's supposed to make your life easier (if it works, which it oftend doesn't). So. Organism components, or just non-automated sections made of atoms? What say you?

Stock picking is an effort in futility, particularly at an uncertain time such as this. My portfolio is still significant, about $140k, but I'm not confident about picking stocks anymore. Are there really no other options for me to gain from the stock market ?
@ChiesaAlessandro Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard to beat the market as an ordinary investor,You don't have access to information that most professionals have. So it's just better if you invest with a professional who knows how things work better.
@AlvanMuller Жыл бұрын
Picking stocks is a risky thing to do, particularly for non-professionals. I learnt that in 2020, when I lost almost everything. But I switched to using a financial advisor, who has better knowledge of the market than I do,and I've been returning at least $38k every month. Just too bad I didn't learn the lesson early one.

@rachelhow Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I’ve briefly touched Bubble so can’t say much about it. One thing to note: Bubble and Figma are not the same tools. Figma is used for interface design. Bubble is used to build functioning websites or software without having to code. If you need a design tool, Figma is a no brainer :)

Hello. Is it better to separate prototypes from high fidelity wireframes?
@rachelhow3 ай бұрын
hello, yes! because (1) it’s easier to make edits to your prototype without affecting high fidelity screens; (2) there could be a LOT of screens used for prototype and if you are working within a team, it might confuse others when there are too many screens that look similar. hope this clarifies!
