I made a mini layer cake on mine with about 4 layers. I did chocolate cake. Spread creamy Peanut butter between the layers. Mixed some Peanut Butter into Milk Chocolate frosting and frosted around the outside and top. It was so good. 1 box makes about 3 to 4 mini 4'" round layer cakes. Great for kids personal birthday cake.

I love that idea. Miss use to host huge holiday and other celebrations for our family and friends.. For even smaller ones all you would have to do is is use a certain size measuring cup and cut it where nessasary. You can clean out an empty ketchup or squeeze mayonnaise container to put your dry mixture of pancake batter in…just fill it halfway or a little less, and when you need it, just add water shake well and squirt it onto your cute little griddle 😊 Thanks for sharing your ideas 💡

Add just a bit of maple syrup to the batter and pour your pancakes just a little thinner. Then use them as the bread for you breakfast sandwich and you will never look back. Also brownie mix works fantastic on the griddle or mini waffle maker.

Both sides have elements and heat to a little over 300°F each. When done, If you take a tall stack of napkins and cut them round (scissors) put them in, put water, close. Allow one heat cycle. Open. Wipe. Viola! Steam cleaned. Save the napkin stack for next time right in the griddle. Might change top and bottom napkins once in a while. Sounds like a lot to do at first but it's easy after that.

Thank you for doing all the experiments saving me all the trial and error. But most of all for introducing me to the multitude of uses as I bought all my dash minis for camping trips, as well as home use. Most all of mine are rated at 200 watts while the newer ones now seem to be 350watts. I have two 500 amp hour solar chargers. Anything one can wipe out instead of washing is a plus. The wet cloth inside as the dash cools is a great idea and I think I'll cover it with paper towels next to the dash plates. Plus, I carry and use at home a small baking/cookie sheet under to catch any overflows.

1. Cool Griddle, Arnold approves. 2. The nails are fab. 3. Where are your sunglasses? Your gonna burn your eyeballs out. 4. Only for varieties sake, you can always cut up your steak/pork and bring veggies to make mini Kabobs, maybe crumble up your sausage into your egg and let them cook together. French toast is also an option. 5. Dont be so hard on yourself! Whether your cooking, camping, bigfoot hunting, or writing poetry; they are all easy once you learn the principles behind it! (Pawpaw Benton used to say there's a trick to everything!) The law of specificity states that you get better at anything you practice. Once at a small cafe in France, Picasso sat enjoying his meal when a lady asked him to draw something for her on a napkin. After about a minute, Picasso finished his drawing and said "That will be $10,000." What! It took you a minute to do that! "No said Picasso. It took me 40 years to do that." Practice pays off!

The rings also make a good guide for cutting things like bread or tortillas to fit inside the dash. My only wish is that they would make the dash a little deeper.

You should make homemade flour Tortillas, here's how: Flour tortillas - Whisk together 2 cups of flour, 1+1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking powder, add 1/4 cup softened butter, use a fork to cut it into the flour mixture, add 2/3 cup lukewarm warm water, stir until you have a sticky dough ball. Using flour as needed, knead briefly and divide the dough into 5 equal portions. Roll each piece into a ball, cover with a tea towel, and let rest for 30 minutes. Using flour as needed, roll each ball into a 12-inch round or as thinly as possible. Working with one round at a time, transfer to a hot dry skillet and cook 30 seconds to a side. Repeat the process until all the tortillas are cooked. Small size used for soft tacos, and large size used for breakfast burritos. Use chives, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, and hot sauce.

Beef browns with exposure to light. The better grocery store meat departments that know this will often market their trays of beef with the tray facing the lights instead of the beefy facing the lights in order for their beef to stay red in the package longer. I would imagine about anything you cook that is baked in this, like the cookies, normal cooking times divided by two is probably standard to get a good place to start. In fact, you could probably use the directions on any of these pre-packaged foods as a starting point realizing that is probably the maximum amount of time that you'll probably want to give to it on such a small grill at heat's from both sides. The beef steak you selected was also a pretty thick piece of steak. Had I cooked it on a grill or griddle I probably would have cooked it with a thermometer first inside telling me the temperature of it and then seared it at the end to give it a nice crust. With this grill we don't have that luxury with cooking on both top and bottom all the time You have to change the way you cook. I probably wouldn't try a steak in the mini griddle thicker than 3/4 of an inch. In order to easily sear the top and the bottom in the insides uniformly. Anything more than an inch, without a thermometer, is a guessing game as to where you end up. You said you don't like pink in beef. Hey well done steak, with no pink, is at 165° F. A medium well with a slash of pink is at 155° F. A medium steak with more pink than non-pink is $145° F. Medium rare tops out at 135° F. And rare is 125° F and lower depending on how raw you want. With the thickness of the steak you made, it looked like the state reached medium with some pink in it or maybe even on the high end of medium to not quite medium well. Either way, if the meat did not smell spoiled going into the griddle it would be just fine coming out. If beef is brown, unless it smells foul coming out of the package, you know that it's still good to prepare and to consume.

Easy round meat for an egg sandwich = ham, sausage, Canadian bacon Carl Buddig makes a variety of cheap meats with a round shape perfectly sized for the mini griddle. Walmart brand breakfast sausage patties are precooked and the perfect size for a breakfast sandwich whether using a small burger bun, a biscuit, an English muffin or a pancake. It takes longer to cook literally anything in a mini griddle than it does on the kitchen stove but there are times when the mini griddle seems to be more convenient. I like that if my power goes out that I can still cook a decent meal with one of my mini cookers and my portable power box. I probably use my mini sandwich maker more than any of my mini cookers. It makes a perfect grilled cheese every time. It's also great for egg sandwiches with or without meat. I also use it to bake biscuits, muffins, cakes and corn bread. I even made a Reuben sandwich in it which wasn't as good as cooking it on a stove top but it was still pretty good.

My 13 year old grand daughter will definitely start cooking more for herself when she has a snack attackl😂 I am a new subscriber on the verge of becoming nomadic hopefully within a years time. Just need a good power pack.

The Dash griddles come with recipies in the user manual. Thanks for the demo..i am curious as to how many meals you can make before the battery goes dead. What wattage is your battery? You managed to cook an entire day worth of meals..

Great ideas, and good video! I’m impressed that you did that much cooking on a 500w power station- mine is 700, which means I can make brownies!! Don’t know if you are still doing videos-I’m a full time senior van lifer, and will check your page.

The ARMOUR dried beef is what you can use to make chipped beef and gravy on toast

Followed your link to your products page on Amazon and ordered the AquaBricks, too. I have well-used Coleman 5-gallon water cans, one 28 years old, but they're getting kind of heavy to be slinging about at my age. Thanks for this recommendation too!

I want to ask a combo question. Did you buy your power station and if so did you still recommend it? I have been washing your videos to get ideas for a summer car camping trip. I am on a teacher’s salary in rural north Louisiana so want to make sure I get a good product that will last. Thanks!

When they make it out of a safe coating that is free of chemicals I will get one. There are Labels on safe non stick and I saw these don’t have it.

I'm possibly about to move and never bothered to buy a cooker/oven for my place. Got a temporary plug in hob and just wondering if I might get a little griddle like that for the worktop just to quickly do some things rather than messing about with the frying pan.

This could be a good option. If you get a one bigger, it's a good size for personal pizzas...maybe even griddled twinkies!

Dash also has a mini frying pan.

Never use non-stick spray on non-stick coating. The solvents in the spray can dissolve the coating, so it comes off the griddle.
