Cookies don't harden up until given time to cool regardless of cooking method so next time I'd try not flipping and then turning off/unplugging the machine once it got to the desired color &lifting the top to allow to cool/ set up a bit before moving it.

I got a triple dash, griddle, grill and waffle maker. Take it with me traveling. It’s great. I used to bring it to work to cook my breakfast and lunch and even dinner sometimes in the break room. I have made grilled cheese sandwiches and love it. You can use it to make anything that will fit. Cook fish, hamburgers, ham steaks or bacon, as you said. I love my electric cookware. It’s been a real boon to my kitchen. I need to get the dashes out and cook either them again. It’s been a minute. Thanks for the inspiration.

Both sides have elements and heat to a little over 300°F each. When done, If you take a tall stack of napkins and cut them round (scissors) put them in, put water, close. Allow one heat cycle. Open. Wipe. Viola! Steam cleaned. Save the napkin stack for next time right in the griddle. Might change top and bottom napkins once in a while. Sounds like a lot to do at first but it's easy after that.

Thin loin pork chops, dusted with lemon pepper, would likely cook beautifully! Thick sliced sweet onion, green peppers, thinly sliced beef for fajitas. I just may have to spring for one of those gadjets.

I especially like this because I also have a LifePo generator, so it's a good option also if the power goes out at my house. I like grilled cheese sandwiches on my mini griddle. Funny that you say you'll reuse the maple syrup container for regular syrup -- maple syrup was the original pancake syrup many years ago! I grew up on Aunt Jemima pancake syrup, but once I got used to maple syrup I came to prefer it. Thanks for the fantastic ideas! I have a mini griddle but haven't used it yet. This video has me more excited to do so!

Fun video! Dash griddle would be great for traveling or single people who don’t like cooking. I use the dried beef in a delicious appetizer called Paul’s Bread…cream cheese, sour cream, the beef chopped diced, chopped green chili mixed together and put in a bread bowl. You use the bread you cut out of center of your round loaf to dip.

Idk much about dried beef, but the way I have seen it prepared is boiled in plain water and drained, and then cooked in a gravy and served over some starch (potatoes, rice, toast.) The gravy seems to be the focus, with the beef there mostly to add interest.

Thanks Robin. Not sure I'll do a review of the battery because it's just my backup. Overall though, I do like it! It was important to me that a battery was at least 500W so I can use a hair straightener, hand saw, and now small appliances. I've used it to run my fridge for a day and a half, but I like having a bigger battery for my fridge. The con that comes to mind is the beeping when it gets to 15% - 20%, and there's no way to turn it off that I've found.

That chipped beef is not meant to be eaten by itself. It's super salty because that's how it is preserved. My mother used to buy it once in a while and make a gravy using it that was pretty good, served over toast. It wasn't till I was an adult that I learned the military term for that which I shant mention here. For anyone watching their sodium, which probably everyone should, the chipped beef and the canned sausages are probably not a very healthy choice.

Thank you for doing all the experiments saving me all the trial and error. But most of all for introducing me to the multitude of uses as I bought all my dash minis for camping trips, as well as home use. Most all of mine are rated at 200 watts while the newer ones now seem to be 350watts. I have two 500 amp hour solar chargers. Anything one can wipe out instead of washing is a plus. The wet cloth inside as the dash cools is a great idea and I think I'll cover it with paper towels next to the dash plates. Plus, I carry and use at home a small baking/cookie sheet under to catch any overflows.

I love that idea. Miss use to host huge holiday and other celebrations for our family and friends.. For even smaller ones all you would have to do is is use a certain size measuring cup and cut it where nessasary. 1. Cool Griddle, Arnold approves. 2. The nails are fab. 3. Where are your sunglasses? Your gonna burn your eyeballs out. 4. Only for varieties sake, you can always cut up your steak/pork and bring veggies to make mini Kabobs, maybe crumble up your sausage into your egg and let them cook together. French toast is also an option. 5. Dont be so hard on yourself! Whether your cooking, camping, bigfoot hunting, or writing poetry; they are all easy once you learn the principles behind it! (Pawpaw Benton used to say there's a trick to everything!) The law of specificity states that you get better at anything you practice. Once at a small cafe in France, Picasso sat enjoying his meal when a lady asked him to draw something for her on a napkin. After about a minute, Picasso finished his drawing and said "That will be $10,000." What! It took you a minute to do that! "No said Picasso. It took me 40 years to do that." Practice pays off!

My chipped gel nails are fab? Gel couldn't stand up to the outdoors; should've done dip. No clue what I'm talking about...now you know how I feel with your poems😆

So funny with that steak. I always told my kids if it smells funny or funky don't eat it! I do love all the things you can cook on this little griddle. Maybe a mini pizza or some dough with some sort of stuffing in it? The possibilities seem endless. Thank you for the review, hope you had a good trip.

Lol, you're supposed to soak the dried beef in water before you use it to get rid of the salt! I love over easy eggs! I wonder how well English muffins would work on there, I would definitely have tons butter, lol! I would also love to see bacon because I love cooking my eggs in bacon grease! Ooh, now I want to try a breakfast sammich with the lil pancakes, over easy eggs, peanutbutter, bacon & syrup (which is how I stack my pancakes anyway)! I probably shouldn't have watched this hungry!

Dried beef has to be rinsed well to remove the salt that is used to dry it and make it stable.

I use egg rings with my dash for McD's style breakfast sandwiches. With the ring I can separate out the white on a second egg and add the yoke to the 1st. The rings also make a good guide for cutting things like bread or tortillas to fit inside the dash. My only wish is that they would make the dash a little deeper.
