Although I told him I forgave him and really meant it the questions, memories and pain remained. Actually none of the questions actually matter. The words of this song are very strong. the 1st time I heard this song I was going through a tough time. When she sings "I no longer want to hold on...to that which doesn't make me strong" It sent chills up and down my spine and I can honestly say, I don't hold onto anything that doesn't empower and inspire me from that day. Lord, where have I been? I just discovered this woman a few days ago. I must have been under a very big rock for the past 20 years to not know such a voice as this existed under the sun. The way she sings-- she massages each word and doesn't let it go until it's been properly seasoned. She toys with notes as if in the middle she's still deciding what to do with it. Not because she has no where else to go but because there are so many directions she can take. She has a truly God-given gift.

This song was beneficial to me as it pertained to me forgiving myself. As a Cancer, I recognized the notion that we tend to respond and react to past decisions. The helpful thing is to recognize the behavior, allow for the moment to pass, and then to forgive oneself. It does not matter what the transgression. In order to regain wholeness that she sings of, one must forgive. Bravo Rachelle! Bravo!
