Dear Rachel, you asked if I could hear the difference among stressed and unstressed vowel. As for me, it's easy to distinquish one from another. Thank you for your musical short videos.

Hi Rachel. It’s me again, Mark from Paraguay and for the past 45 years from Massachusetts. My best friend lived all her life here and because she has so many foreign born friends, she was told her accent changed. She’s been asked “where are you from”?

Rachel, Would you, please, be so kind as to explain the difference between "SHOULD" and "OUGHT TO"? Do these two verbs mean the same or not? If not, what would be the nuance between the two?
@rachelsenglish
@rachelsenglish 6 ай бұрын
They are similar in meaning, but "should" is more common and a bit more casual.

Actually, you can ignore a syllable. Instead of awg- zil-ya-ree, you can say, awg-zil-(uh)-ree. Some people, including Americans, apparently pronounce their y's in a way that makes difficult to go from an L to a Y. That's probably why many people drop that syllable. I hope that helps.

Rachel, I am thinking of joining the lifetime subscription to your academy. I noticed that the lifetime subscription only comes with 3-month access to live classes and personal feedback, etc. Is there an option to extend the access? Thank you
