I love this calming video, Rachel. Your ideas are really helpful, esp eating earlier and not going to bed on a full stomach...I had to laugh, because when I saw you had a new video up, I went to your youtube channel and an old video from 2012 or 2013 popped onto the screen. It was you getting ready for a night out, and you were dressed to the nine's, in full makeup and high heels. Reminded me of how, not that many years ago, I would quite frequently be leaving the house at 10pm or so to go out dancing. That doesn't really happen anymore, altho I still love to dance! Funny how we mature and change as time goes on. Love your wonderful videos!❤

I really enjoy the "retro" style (:DD) thumbnails, it really stands out in the other usual ones! I totally agree with others, you really use too much retinA and it can cause problems not just on your skin but even in your liver if you use it too much or for too long... please make sure you only use it for a couple weeks at a time and just very sparingly! I am generally a very anxious person and a bad sleeper. so I have quite a few things I do around bedtime to make sure I can sleep as well as possible. maybe it can help someone :) 1) every night I make sure to eat a protein heavy but small dinner (protein rice pudding from aldi/lidl) along with a turmeric golden milk. it helps so so much! everyone should try it, it is really amazing :)) (1 cup of warm milk, 1 ts honey, 1/2 ts turmeric, 1/8 ts cinnamon, 1 pinch of pepper) 2) if I'm really stressed, passionflower extract capsules are my lifesavers! they do not make me sedated, but they really help having my nerves soothed. they are not medicine, just a plant extract and generally very safe to use. 3) melatonin/triptophane are great supplements for sleep, but can cause migraines, so everyone should be mindful of their consumption :) (sleep pouch does not have these, just saying in general)

@@emese_p oh gosh. Now I’m worried about my liver. 🙈 I kinda feel stupid, as I’ve used retina before in the past and know the protocol. I just started back up again in the spring. It’s interesting with this strength because it doesn’t really make my skin sluff the way the stronger strength does, so I think I just got out of hand with it. I was born and raised in Louisiana and in real Southern red and white beans... there is NO VEGETARIAN/VEGAN VERSION, EVER! It is just NOT done! AND it's not generally made in a crock pot but on the stovetop with a lot of patience, tending, and sausage. Y'all need to come to take these Southern Soul Food lessons in New Orleans (New Orlinzzz, to pronounce it correctly!) Our beans are NEVER "PLANT BASED!"... Nothing is "Plant-Based in a REAL SOUTHERN KITCHEN!!! That is reserved strictly for California...! Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - and there are NO imitations!!! We Cajuns are SERIOUS about it!!! ALSO - YOU MUST RINSE, DRAIN, SOAK OVERNIGHT, AND DRAIN YOUR BEANS (EVERY TIME YOU MAKE THIS DISH!) Is it safe to cook red beans in a slow cooker? The FDA has the best recommendation when it comes to cooking red kidney beans. Southern cooks, including us Cajuns, suggest soaking the beans overnight and then boiling them for 30 minutes. This is a crucial step because slow cookers or crockpots can't reach the boiling point of 212°F. If you prepare beans in a slow cooker without soaking and boiling them first, they can carry the toxic lectin. So, it's not just a matter of taste, but also your safety. It's important to follow the proper method to ensure your safety and enjoyment of this Southern staple. And when serving this lovely dish, (white beans, too!), we love to put a big scoop of the rice in the middle of the bowl first, and then spoon a heaping helping of the red beans and sausage (and YES the RIGHT kind of sausage matters!!), down over top. AND - look up Oak Ridge, Tennessee. It's a city that was made in absolute secret! And anything outside of Louisiana is FAKE!!!! Just letting you know!!!
